நெல்லை-தென்காசி அகல பாதையி்ல் ரயில் சோதனை ஓட்டம் வெற்றி

நெல்லை: நெல்லை-தென்காசி வழித்தடத்தில் இன்று அதிவேக ரயில் சோதனை ஓட்டம் நடந்தது. வரும் மார்ச் 29ம் தேதி ரயில்வே பாதுகாப்பு கமிஷனர் ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்கிறார்.

நெல்லை-தென்காசி இடையே அகல ரயில் பாதை பணிகள் 2009ம் ஆண்டில் ரூ.229 கோடியில் துவங்கப்பட்டது. இவ்வழித்தடத்தில் 13 பெரிய பாலங்கள், 100க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறிய பாலங்கள், ரயில் நிலையங்கள் சீரமைப்பு, சிக்னல், ரயில்வே கேட், பயணிகளுக்கு தேவையான அடிப்படை வசதிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன. பணிகள் அனைத்தும் முடிவடைந்த நிலையில் கடந்த மாதம் மதுரை கோட்ட மேலாளர் ஜோயல் தலைமையிலான அதிகாரிகள் குழுவினர் ரயில் சோதனை ஓட்டத்தை மேற்கொண்டனர். அப்போது சில குறைபாடுகள் கண்டறியப்பட்டது.

தற்போது அந்த குறைபாடுகள் அனைத்தும் நிவர்த்தி செய்யப்பட்டு இன்று காலை அதிவேக ரயில் சோதனை ஓட்டம் நடத்தப்பட்டது. மதுரை கோட்ட மேலாளர் (ரயில்வே கட்டுமானம்) அனந்தராமன் தலைமையிலான குழுவினர் நெல்லை-தென்காசி இடையே ரயில் எஞ்சினில் சென்று ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டனர். 100 கி்மீ வேகத்தில் ரயில் என்ஞ்சின் செல்ல அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டது. முன்னதாக எஞ்சினுக்கு ரயில்வே ஊழியர்கள் சிறப்பு பூஜை நடத்தினர். பின்னர் காலை 9.40 மணி அளவில் நெல்லை-தென்காசிக்கு சோதனை ஓட்டம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

ஆய்வுக்கு பின்னர் மதுரை கோட்ட பொறியாளர் அனந்தராமன் கூறுகையில், இதற்கு முந்தைய சோதனை ஓட்டத்தில் கண்டறியப்பட்ட குறைகளை முழுமையாக நிவர்த்தி செய்யப்பட்டு ரயில் சோதனை ஓட்டம் நடந்துள்ளது. அடுத்த கட்டமாக பெங்ளூரில் இருந்து ரயில்வே பாதுகாப்பு கமிஷனர் மிட்டல் வரும் 29ம் தேதி ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்ள உள்ளார். இதற்காக அவர் வரும் 28ம் தேதி நெல்லை வருகிறார். அவரது ஆய்வறிக்கைக்கு பின்னர் விரைவில் நெல்லை-தென்காசி இடையே ரயில் சேவை தொடங்கும் என்றார்.

There was no announcement on the extension? These decisions will be taken by the DRM of that particular railway division?

MK surely it will happen like that only. when I was kid during MG days I have seen trains from TCN to Kollam via TEN, TSI, SCT. As you know about IR, we can't have separate rakes for TEN-TCN & separate rakes for TEN-TSI / SCT. So for sure that TEN-TCN passenger will be extended to SCT....

Yeah but no announcement in the Union Rly Budget? My doubt is who is going to decide upon that? Will they do it in the midst of a FY or they will wait till the next budget?

I am not sure about whether there will be official announcement in any budget or something like that. Even now the passenger is running as TCN-TEN-TN passenger during the afternoon trip...

So, signalling works are remaining in both these tracks i guess After that we will have 2 new GC completed tracks for trains

Dear Friends,
In the IR southern discussion forum there is a healthy discussion going about this.
The Chendur express coaches can be increased to 24 coaches. So in TEN the 8 coaches can be removed and it can go to TSI. And the remaining can go to TCN. As usual the maintenance will be done in TEN. Give your views

Speed trial tomorrow

Speed trial using a special train formation will be conducted on the newly converted broad gauge line in Tirunelveli - Tenkasi section by the Commissioner of Railway Safety, Bangalore, on Thursday (March 29).

A statement said the speed trial would be conducted between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to assess the condition of the newly laid track.

Public and all users of railway line and premises situated adjoining the gauge converted section are hereby alerted and requested not to come near the railway track or not to approach the railway track during the high speed trial timings.

Speed trial using a special train formation was conducted on the newly converted broad gauge line in the Tenkasi - Tirunelveli section on Thursday.

Commissioner of Railway Safety, Bangalore, S. K. Mittal conducted the speed trial in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Madurai, A. K. Goel.

The speed trial that commenced at Tenkasi at 3.05 p.m. ended at Tirunelveli Railway Junction at 3.55 p.m. as the special train crossed the 72 Km distance within 50 minutes.

“The train was operated at 80 to 90 Km speed in the curves during the trial,” said Mr. Mittal, who expressed satisfaction over the strength of the newly laid track on an outlay of Rs. 220 crore.

Since Mr. Mittal is expected to submit his report on the speed trial within a week, the Divisional Railway Manager is likely to announce his decision on the operation of regular train services on this track very soon.

Obviously. But not day time train and they suggested to add 8 coaches in Chendur express for Nellai-Tenkasi section
