I think that's because You have to know and love cars to buy GT-R, it's relatively moderate in apperance performance oriented machine. 911, though beein much more common, looks hot, sexy, expensive. Better choice for someone, who wants to look good and wealthy in his car.

Am I right? Are there many grey imports in Poland, because I quite often see grey imports with polish license plate here in Austria?

Quite a lot comparing to western and southern EU-countries. In 1990s we had many US/Canada imports because of high duty rates and freaky laws. Few years ago, when dollar was very cheap, import from America increased again. That applies mostly to large and/or luxury cars, like this Navigator spotted in Katowice:





But sometimes You can also spot smaller and cheaper imports, like this funny Toyota I saw in Warsaw few days ago:



Shortly after doing this photo I saw US-spec Ford Focus.

Here's a Lancia Dedra I saw a few days ago in Växjö. Lancias are very rare in Sweden and wasn't sold here for many years. Lancia have now started to sell cars again in Sweden, but I have never seen a new one except for a Polish-registrated one a few days ago.

That Lancia was not sold in Sweden, it's a private import. Look at the licenseplate, it starts with an U. The car is much older than the licenseplate
