You're a 1st class idiot if you think a skyline = 10 150 metre towers next to each other. Ironically London has more tall buildings than both Paris or Frankfurt.

EVERY city has a skyline, just because you prefer the Dubai's and Hong Kongs doesn't mean that every other city that isn't dominated by tall buildings is worthless, many prefer a mix of small and tall buildings. In fact some of the most beautiful skylines I have seen were Venice and Oxford because quality>>>quantity.

Where did I say cities without tall buildings are worthless? I think I mentioned in this very thread that London is one of the greatest cities on Earth. It just doesn't have a skyline.

You are very welcome.
LOL. Either you are on acid or did you really think I don't know that and the fact how the NY skyline looks like. Man, even 2 years ago I knew the 50 tallest buildings in NY by heart... also I'm a regular follower of nearly all NY projects, so yeah.

And btw the U.S. has de jure no official language.

Congratulations, you know NY skyscrapers off by heart. Such achievements will make you well qualified to recognise a photograph of New York.

The de facto language of the U.S is English.

In England we like to use something sarcasm to highlight stupidity, something that has been lost you. Never mind, it is not your fault.
LOL. I posted the image to show that London will need another 100 years to look like a real skyscrapercity. It should be clear that everyone in this forum knows how NY looks, especially with the ESB in it. Hope you get it know.

A real skyscrapercity you say.

Are you a child?
Something's mixed up here, I really thought you didn't get it (meaning you are the child), whereas you did lol. Nevermind, let's end this, it's way too OT. Peace.

Sydney doesn't have an Opera House, don't you know. Everyone else in the world, there's no point in arguing with me, I know what my personal definition of an Opera House is and what Sydney has ain't one!

Fixed.

Seriously, I appreciate you think London's a great city and what you're saying about how London's skyline can't compete with other major international cities...but for god's sake, please look up the word 'skyline'...

A skyline is a silhouette of a city's buildings against the sky. Apparently London doesn't have buildings, or sky

What do you see on the horizon as you are approaching London? The London skyline. It's a bit of a no-brainer, surely, or should we explain what buildings and sky are in more detail?

TripleJ is dislexic, and has some strange non-fatherable scoring system to rate European skylines, so you will be in good company. He at least recognises a skyline, as you understand it, and ranks London second, ahead of Paris, for whatever that is worth.

Why dont you go and play in the children's area?

Bye
Infantile? How about your liberal definition of skyline to somehow call a handful of sporadically dispersed tiny buildings around London a skyline? Even for which you take help of some clever angles to make it look like the buildings form a skyline. You can define it however you like, but then you're on the wrong website. Skyscrapercity, understand the meaning of that word? Why don't you go and play on some other website when London has a skyline?

Resorting to cheap HDR gimmick and a clever angle which makes distant buildings look bunched up togehter and you still have huge gaps between buildings. I wouldn't post that pic if I were you. London still doesn't have a skyline. This is a rather embarrassing photo, you know. A few dispersed tiny buildings and only 1 genuinely nice building.

it's funny how everyone's resorting to "sky" + "line"... Wonder what you guys do when a goalie uses his hand to stop the ball. That is not "foot" + "ball"!

Jeez, relax! Why are you getting so hyper? And why'd I be embarrassed? Everyone on all the boards I frequent knows it. Karachi, there you go. But live in Chicago, a city which actually has a skyline.
