Grand Hyatt New York
NL, your first guess was the correct one. BTW this, printed at 100%, should mate up correctly with Tim's Grand Central.

I love what you did with the facade Ken, that color is lovely, the darker and lighter spots on it make it all the better. The base is also very well done.
The model is all just gorgeous.

Well you came as far as investigating the facade, why not turn it in to a model?! haha, I know it has numerous setbacks, but from most people on SCC, your one of the few guys who can really pull this off.
I know your style,so simplefy the thing , isnt a option , right? haha |

Exactly what I had in mind. Be aware, though, that if your going to use the skyscrapermodels.us chrysler, you have to reduce it to 90% to get the same scale as the other two buildings here. SO you have to make the base smaller, too. If you look at your addition to the map, 43rd street has to line up.

The Grand Hyatt looks awesome as usual. But my printer printed it way to dark so I have to make some changes for myself haha. And I saw the reflection of the clouds
![]() I hoped that either you or Tim would make the Helmsley Building. Can't wait to see it. |

1b. One day, I'd like to model the pre-Trumpified version of the building (the Commodore Hotel), with all the brick and stone work. Anybody else wants to do it--go for it. There are lots of photos out there and a scale elevation drawing in Architecture Review from the 1920s. 2. It'll be another week or more for the Helmsley building. There's a lot of little stuff on the roof to be done. And I'm not happy with the spire yet. |

Started from scratch on the Helmsley--completely redid the roads going through. I hope it will be worth your wait. Meanwhile, I threw together the tiny Library Hotel and even tinier adjacent buildings to --finally!-- finish the Lincoln Building block. ![]() Enjoy. |

Sorry about the death.
Sounds like you've made good progress, can't wait to see the Helmsley building, and nice work on the new model, it's very very small.
