RIGA | New Hanza City - ABLV Bank office building | 74m | 20fl | App
  New object development proposal envisages the creation of a new urban district in the former railway goods station vicinity, the area between Pulkveza Brieza, Hanzas, Skanstes and Sporta streets. The initial phase (until 2014 Year), building expected functionality is offices (102400m2), the trade area (20400m2) and hotel (room number ~ 200). Approximate demand for parking places in the initial phase (2014 Year, the financial district, ID1) is about 930 parking places. The perspective development is located within the protected zone of the Riga historical center. 1st building - ABLV Bank office building Building info:

This is great news!
 Question - was this project's international competition held in 2007? If it was,then I can show you competition entry by one Estonian architecture bureau (they didn't reach the top 3 though),if you guys are interested.

Okay,Estonian architecture bureau Kosmos entry on design competition:
     More renders and plans (select Riga Skanstes at the menu): http://www.kosmoses.ee/1000000.html I hope that this was same contest,as architects vaguely marked this design as "urban houses at Skanstes,Riga". Anyway,they didn't reach any notable position. Afaik,top three were German,Latvian and Austrian (not sure) companies.

Great design! The estonian one is cool i guess, but the winning one is better in my mind. When will the work start?

Has anyone heard anything new about this project?
I have nothing new, but I found other proposals for this project which didn't win. I think 3rd - Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter also was great proposal. 1. Gensler  2. Broadway Malyan  3. Vilhelm Lauritzen Arkitekter  4. NRJA  5. Silis, Zabers un Klava

Probably found some clue about possible construction date.

Sāk būvēt New Hanza City īslaicīgas lietošanas biroju ēku un autostāvvietu.
