I would like to organize a thread where foreign people could find information necessary, helpful to visit our city and enjoy it.

The idea is that first post will contain table of contents with links to listed categories (managed by volunteers). So, if you would like to be a one of thread creator just let me know which categories you're interested for.

Here I will collect all information about maps like links, information about paper maps (opinion, prices, etc).

In this post you can find some useful information about taxis in the city.

Prices:
- at the moment it is 6 PLN (~1,5EUR) for sitting in, and then 3 PLN (~0,75EUR) for each 1 km of the trip.
- be careful to check the price before entering a taxi (especially when entering by the railway station, bus station or airport) - the notes are put usually at the rear taxi door.
- always ask for the receipt
- not every taxi has got credit card terminal - if you do not have PLNs - better ask before entering.

Usual costs of trips:
- to/from city centre to/from the airport - 40-50PLN (~10-12 EUR)

Apps for mobile phones (Android + IOS) with local taxi info: http://zlaptaxi.pl/en/index.html (at the moment it is possible to order taxis using the app only in Warsaw, but you have other useful info there as well from 72 cities).

Polish language is quite difficult (grammar) and the pronunciation is pain in the ass. In this short lessons, which i'm going to post from time to time, i'll not use our symbols: ą, ę, ć, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź, ż.

(tbc) __________________ Obcowanie ze mną zawsze było, i także dzisiaj jest, dosyć trudne dlatego, iż z reguły dążę do dyskusji, starcia, staram się prowadzić rozmowę w ten sposób aby była ryzykowna, czasem nawet nieprzyjemna, żenująca, niedyskretna, gdyż to wciąga w grę osobowość zarówno moją, jak mego partnera. Rozmowa uprzejma, spokojna, delikatna, taka jaką się zwykle uprawia w kołach literackich, wydawała mi się zawsze czymś śmiertelnie mdłym i niegodnym ludzi bardziej rozbudzonych pod względem duchowym.
