I think I have some old family pics from when I was here as a 5 year old child.

Wow, I am quite surprised by the beauty of Wroclaw, I thought that it is industrial city uncomparable to Krakow or other historical Polish cities, but now I know I was wrong. Great pictures!

Wroclaw is becoming one of Poland's and Europe's most beautiful and dynamic cities.

And you, my friend, have proven to me the importance of the internet and websites like. I am a little surprised by what you wrote, you being from Bratislava, in not too far off Slovakia. Also proves Poland should be more aggressive with it's marketing campaigns.
The Poles did well with rebuilding the significant structures of this city and Wroclaw is becoming more of a hotspot in Poland. Feel free to travel there

Well, I have already visited Poland two times and I am going there next week, but I visited only Malopolska and Upper Silesia.

I must say that except Kraków and Warszawa, other cities are less known here in Slovakia. This thread really proves that this view is a mistake and Poland has many cities and spots to explore

Thanks man. I have been telling some friends here in Canada that I want to visit Bratislava in the next few years. Central Europe is changing fast.

Mike, didn't you know that De Niro was just (famous) Robert's nick?. His real name used to be Robert Denirski of course (just kidding). I'm used to be in Wrocław quite often but I love to see this city through your eyes and eye of your camera. That means - both . Awesome pics bro. Keep posting please. And visit Szczecin (my city) one day. No doubts, you'd get a lot of friendly guides down here. Probably you'd have great headache the day after but memories would be unforgetable. No doubts. Come over one day.

If you want to see some smaller gems, check out Torun, Zamosc, Kazimierz Dolny, Sandomierz. But Wroclaw is becoming a true hot spot, after years of restoration, reconstruction/construction a real butterfly is coming out of its post-war cocoon.

Next time I'm in the region, I will finally be able to visit Slovakia, which I hear is like the Switzerland of central Europe for its picturesque beauty.

yes, it is. It's even named "Hala Stulecia", that means centennial hall [hundred years (old) hall], in german language - Jahrhunderthalle. Brgds :-)

Thanks man. I will keep posting as much as I can. I get busy sometimes. I would like to visit Szczecin one day. I hear a lot of restoration has been done in this city. Was it badly damaged in WW2 because I am not sure.
