ISTANBUL | Akasya Silics | 137m | 112m | 87m | 77m | Pro

Akasya Silics
Istanbul, Turkey

Proposal 1:

ARCHITECT: Salon 2 - Alper Derinboğaz - Frederik De Smedt

The design brief combines three distinct functions at a massive scale in Ümraniye Istanbul. Silics is a 150.000m2 mix use building combining work, living and shopping. The design strategy brings these functions together under a nature like formation. The inside has a topography, it is open to surprises and variation. The outside has a sharp boundary to create an explicit interaction between the urban setting and the building.

The fragmented green topography creates green space for its users with a sustainable attitude. The semi-courtyard setting creates a comfortable exterior at the residential side of the building. At the city scale this mass is integrated intricately to the urban life by creating various squares around the entrances.

Proposal 3:

ARCHITECT: L35

Competition for the urban development of a plot in Ümraniye, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Istanbul. This mixed use complex will include business and leisure activities, offices and housing spread around a large landscaped plaza. The project will radically transform the area - currently occupied by an obsolete shopping centre and a car park -, into a high quality space for residents, users of the shopping centre and workers. The residential complex consists of a single 36 storey volume, freeing up as much open space as possible. To the south of the plot, and connecting it to the business district, we find two towers of offices, the largest of which is 120 metres high. Its landscaped roof offers exceptional panoramic views of Istanbul, while the spacious halls and sky lobbies allow users to enjoy the direct sunlight in all the workspaces.

Proposal 4:

ECE and the Turkish Akasya Group will jointly realize Akasya Park Ümraniye. The investment volume of the shopping and entertainment projects which will also comprise apartments and office space amounts to around 200 million euros. ECE has been entrusted with the concept design, leasing as well as the long-term center management of the shopping center.

Together with the directly adjacent Carre-fourSA Ümraniye shopping center more than 240 shops will be cre-ated on a total leasable area of around 100,000 m² and will thus form one of Istanbul’s largest retail areas.

You have shown 3 proposals but I think no of them have been chosen because you can see this pic on their website, probably the chosen project:
