If its based on the personal experience, I'll have to say i don't really know all those hotels.

I guess,
best five would be
1,Delicia ( all time favorite),
2,Airlines
3,Mahendrapuri
4,Palace
5,Woodbine garden retreat etc.

Malappuram is a huge district right? It has to be divided anyway. Btw there is no Pattambi taluk as mentioned in above report.

I like Malappuram should divided considering it geography and density. my friends from ponnani area even prefers Nedumbasseri, for air travel and trichur for shopping as these places are more near to them

I have lots of friends from ponnani who stil finds Karipur airport useful. So it means there is no such wide practice of using nedumbasseri. its jus like anyone from malappuram or calicut who like nedumbasseri over karipur due to the 'tremendous service n timing' they offer at Karipur airport.

Regarding the shopping, it must be true coz ponnani even though a populated municipality, doesn't have good shopping centers when compared to any other municipality in the district.

Valluvand deserves an district status as its history, geography, culture and local language differs from native palakkadan or malappuram. Even vadakkanchery and chelakkara can be included.
