This year 2012, Malaysia has hosted record-breaking concerts such as Southeast Asia's largest outdoor concert by headcount - the Future Music Festival Asia 2012 - a combination of 60 acts in 1 day. (posted here before)

Coming up will be the Tiger Asian Music Festival 2012 and the Rainforest World Music Festival 2012.

Concert for Humanity: The 15th Rainforest World Music Festival - July 2012, Malaysian Borneo

Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) has been voted for the 3rd consecutive year in 2012, as one of the top 25 Best International Festivals by renowned world music magazine, Songlines.

Amongst the festivals lauded are Festival in the Desert in Mali; Africa Festival, Germany; WOMADAdelaide Australia; Chicago World Music Festival, USA; Essaouira Gnawa & World Music Festival, Morocco; Forde Folk Festival, Norway to name a few.

The annual concert is held in the jungles of Borneo attended by more than 20,000 people, many of whom are foreign tourists.
