My school has a performance theatre, a huge band room and dance studio.
Toilets super small, only 2 cubicles. Old campus there were 10. Canteen very small also, smaller than some other sec sch's. Not much bigger than the old canteen. Hall's roof very low. Almost all windows have a sunshade. Painted in trendy, hip colours in abstract forms. Air con classrooms. ![]() Indoor basketball courts painted onto the floor in the hall. Also painted in are several badminton courts. 4 storeys tall 'Themed' abstract design both inside and outside. But it looks quite plain. You should see AMKSS's campus. Looks kinda like Petronas! ![]() Deyi's look like Art Deco, but ugly. In yellowish-brown bricks.

the last school i attended in sg for a significant period fo tiem was dunman high school.
![]() its round centre is supposed to invoke the circular apartments in china. i think. in the middle is a large circular patch of grass that no one can step on. it is very veryv ery troublesome to have to walk along the circumference of the circle to get from one side to the other. grrr. it is visible behind the two ppl here. it's called the zhen xin yuan. Post: ![]() at the foyer there is also a rather striking three storey spiral staircase. i would rather it be an elevator. again, behind the people. Post: ![]() nestled comfortably under the spiral staircase is an ancient upright piano that cannot be used properly anymore. it has thus been left in the foyer for anyone to play. me and friends often played. i'm not sure if it's been discarded now. although shitty as hell, it brings back lovely memories. Post: ![]() that's all i can find in my stash of photos. |

Going to Queensway Sec is like going to Changi Airport everyday. Where students will yell to one another ''Eh Science lesson today ah at T1 or T2?'' etc I guess...lame...
Queensway sec reminds me of Barney. So purple. And the student population IMO comprises so much of malays. NYJC's colour schemes looks so LEGO. Bad colour choice for the building, like for the uniform. STILL, I guess its better to have a weirdly coloured but vibrant studying environment rather than a boring government propaganda colour scheme for a school building. The ''NYJC'' ruins the design of the nice dustbin. Wah so much money for a fountain. I bet they dont turn it on most of the time. Old Victoria School = SAS current premises right. Deyi looks scary like those haunted castles. Imagine the blue uniforms contrast with the brown bricks. |

Old Victoria School, also the former Christ Church sec campus, at Jalan Besar. It is a small Neo Classical building.

What will the mall's tenants be then? Lets make up our very own Nanyang Mall. We put the types of shops that we want/think will be in it. The colour scheme affects the type of tenants that are most likely to locate their businesses in the mall. So for this type of colour scheme, it definitely won't attract Gucci or Armani. The colour scheme looks more like suburban mall looking... Since the school doesn't have any basement. Level 1 - Lobby/Car Park (My GP tutor says this word doesn't exist. Its a Singaporean/Asian english term. It should be known instead as Parking Lots or something). Level 2 - McDonalds (Based on the colour scheme, McDonalds should be the anchor tenant, ''McDonalds Hub@NY''), KOPITIAM Food Court, BreadTalk Level 3 - Popular Bookshop (Anchor Tenant too), Quickly Bubble Tea, That 10 mins 10 dollars haircut shop, Clinic, Giordano. Thats about it...haha... |

yar nyjc's colour scheme is really very lego. as for the fountain, i think fountains mean something to nyjc therefore the extra expenditure on a fountain like that.. i can't remember what maybe its in their school song.
dunman high school has a fountain as well in the middle of the green island cars circle around to get to the foyer. your analysis of nanyang mall's make up seems pretty correct.. any sophisticated looking schools in sg? |

The colour scheme is another NY wannabe. Overall the architects dont know how to design. Like they having PMS during the months they took to design it. But maybe NAFA students want a cheerful environment so they wanted such a design? |

NAFA looks like something the cow threw up after having something bad for breakfast...
NY looks so pretty! I'm so envious...
