This pic looks cool...

Why cannot our photographers take more pics like this??? There are several 2 km flyovers in India but I haven't seen a pic like this which gives a total view. Our media is too obssesed with politics.

The project was also on BBC.

Well Done TMAC :-)

Excellent pics.

What's the status for Kamalapur to Rampura as well as others?

Khilgaon Flyover nearing completion

almost 88 percent work of the 2,505-meter long flyover has been done. It has three wings connecting Khilgaon, Rajarbagh and Syedabad. It is scheduled to open on Dec 31. Here are some old as well as recent pictures.

Do you have a map that shows the alignment/location.

Mohakhali Flyover looks good.

Khilgaon Flyover is going to be great. Looks like its atleast 6 laned & better planned.

Khilgaon Flyover

Khilgaon Flyover has a more traditional form factor (like a majority of the Indian flyovers I've seen). It has a beam/platen form rather than the Caisson (box) understructure as for the Mohakhali Flyover. Caisson is a lot lighter but requires that the caisson components be pre-cast and joined on site using special jigs. Hence requires more time.

Predictably -- caisson structures are a lot more expensive and the domain of specialized Engineering firms. The Jamuna Bridge is a huge Caisson based project.

And without a license plate too

Yes -- I have a little background in architecture as well as many other subjects (materials science in particular).

The flags look kind of nice and add colour. But I guess they will take them down.

Awesome...Dhaka has some pretty impressive flyovers. How come one of them makes a U-Turn?

btw...the Mercedes-Benz above is a C-Class, not an E-Class

I think it's just an exit/entry ramp.
