Sleeperz seem to like locations near to railway stations and they are looking at Birmingham, not 4 star though?

I doubt it would be another Holiday Inn with Kennedy tower and Arena Central hotel opening in the next 2 years

Sleeperz may be a contender, guess we will have to wait and see!

I'm typing this from a Sleeperz hotel and looking around it's a pretty middle of the road 3-star. Wooden laminate floors everywhere, very minimalist and quite bland. Nothing like the pictures in the D&A. Nowhere near a 4-star.

Cardiff or Newcastle?? Lol! It's a prime spot and lots of hoteliers would love the position.

Newcastle. About to try and sleep but can hear a couple 'enjoying' themselves next door (quite clearly) and the trains are quite loud from here. Otherwise not a bad hotel, just not quite hitting the spot.

what hotel chain is taking a place next to Digbeth cold storage...might be a useful place for Sleeperz or Novotel.

any idea, has it been announced...so much going on in brum almost hard to keep up.

Looks like they'll be covering part of the void and building on the corner plot, train operator accommodation should remain

Great find, looking forward to this one

By my reckoning this is just an old proposal. It's located where the new train operator accommodation now is (it extends further back than just the empty corner plot), and it's from 2008!

I hadn't appreciated that Sleeperz is owned by network rail, if so this plan makes a lot of sense.

sleeperz and network rail...almost like the old railway hotels built by the railway operators all those years ago!

wonder what other land they own around BNS.

Must own some land near to eastside? Might be more attractive to them with hs2 and the future developments?
