Why the first building on the right doesn't have sloping roof like the others?

Because it's from the 1920-s. Hence it's modern look. It was rebuilt in concrete (with brick facade) after a fire that consumed 3 pre-existent granaries Soli-Deo-Gloria (left).

I'm glad to see that Gdańsk keeps improving and expanding its city center. I've visited the city twice and I loved it. I think most tourists from western Europe go to Kraków when they visit Poland, but in my opinion Gdańsk is just as pretty.

I'm from Kraków and I love Gdańsk. I visit Tri-City once a year and I like to see the changes. Every year Gdańsk is different. I think, Gdańsk since few years (same as Wrocław) goes investment boom. We need to remember that Kraków wasn't destroyed in II WW. Can't wait to see how revitalization of Podwale Przedmiejskie will change (merge) Gdańsk.

Best regards from far south

a beautiful magical city. I have taken many friends from around the world to see this city and everyone of them wants to come back soon. WWII Museum is opening hopefully in the first half of this year.

Mayby I'm wrong but the historic rests of this third grannary from the left was totally demolished, so the visualization is rather not precise.
It's a pity that even 2 or 3 historic facades will not reconstructed; this is iconic place for history of the city; the new projects are not bad, but do not suit in such a specyfic place.
Gdansk lost a chance...

drawabeats, very nice job, but may I suggest you post these amazing projects under City Compilations so they get more international exposure.

Thank you for this good information, however I'd be happier if all the facade were reconstructed with bricks from the demolition of internal walls - as I remember there were two or three internal walls partially preserved.
