With the likes of 568 Collins st, concavo, array, fulton lane, dysnasty and a few others, the amount of buildings u/c in Melbourne should double this year...

I don't think I'd say Sydney is on the rise.

There's 33 projects over 100m in the pipeline in Sydney. Sydney is doing okay but we need more residential towers, there's an unmet demand there, but also a lack of sites.

Its all part of the construction cycle, with Melbourne having a huge last few years, Brisbane doing well, Perth starting to find its feet and Sydney lagging, but that changes rather quickly at times. With all its boom, Perth would appear to be slower on the uptake than it should be, especially with hotel construction. I know a few firms who have had to shorten or cancel visits to Perth given the lack of rooms and the prices on offer for available ones. Not a good thing for business.

Perth has three big developments start soon, Perth City Link, Waterfront and Waterbank
We also have Cathedral Square Tower and Emu Brewery site Chevron want a big tower to get everyone in one tower.

There are a couple of very high end (6 star) boutique hotels on the way, and one other medium sized hotel I can think of. The state govt is making is a condition that which ever developer wins the Perth City Link contract will need some decent hotel space, similar with Perth Waterfront. |

C3 and C5 towers haven't even been approved yet they have begun piling as part of the shared basements for Barangaroo. Why cannot we add them in?
