Importing a race preapared car to Sri Lanka

Hi fellow members

Going back to my country for good J

I am looking into import my used vehicle to Sri Lanka under the gift permit.(Green or Blue permit.)

But the vehicle is 1998 and is a race prepared car and hoping to use it for track use in Sri Lanka.

I read that the car has to be less than 10 years old. Is there any way I can import this vehicle under

a race permit or something similar?

Any help wold be appreciated.

Thanks

I dont think the officials care. Just tell them " everything inside is less than 5 years old, its a sports car and that should satisfy them lol"

I suggest you contact import Control Office in Colomob. I had a similar query and they have provided the required information (yes over the phone, phone was answered in the second attempt and was transfered to the right person with two hops. The right person was knowladgeble and and helpful.)

Cheers
