look what happens with the SEAir flight "CORON" and Asian Spirit's flight to "BUSUANGA"

they land the the same YKK Airport, p[ero nalilito ang tao. it looks like magkaibang location.

yeah not a big deal really...it's just a matter of personal preference. for me it's just one way of marketing and exposing more Silay City to the world but i still can't grasp tho why some of you call it international airport when it's only intended to be a local airport unless there's a concrete plan to make it international? but for now isn't it misleading and unrealistic?

anyway whatever the name is i am still glad of all these developments happening in negros right now and i hope more to come.

^Same here Iloilo din ako nag-aaral. Thrice a year lang ako nagbabakasyon sa Bacolod. daku man ang na bulig sang SSC sa aton kag sang mga online news sites, like the Bacolod local online news visayandailystar.com and the sunstar.com.ph/bacolod.

^For now Bacolod-Silay Airport ang itawag natin sa airport na yan. Total most in the publishing news ganon din ang naisulat.

Iam not sure if our new airport is capable to accommodate a bigger plane what their talking about in the daily star, the A -330 aircraft, the runway is only 2000 meters, unlike other airport in the country is 3000 meters, Ex. in General Santos City 3227 meters, Cebu 3300, and Davao 3000 meters, Think about Puerto Princessa they can acccomodate A330 the runway 2600 meters, Think about this, kalibo airport has 2187 meters and only a minor airport. Ilolilo has 2500. The bacolod airport they might use only 737,320, 319. the A330 aircraft needs at least 2500 meters runway, and Bcd-silay is only 2000 meters thats a joke unless if they will extend another 500 meters.

More seats, lower
fares in Air Phil
In response to the growing demand for air travel, Air Philippines added more flights to its Bacolod-Manila route, a press release from the company said.

In addition to its regular flight schedule, Air Philippines now flies from Bacolod to Manila, 5:35 p.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The air company also offers promo seats as it dropped its fares by 30 percent or a one-way fare of P568 , the press release said. For is Cebu-Bacolod flight, Air Philippines charged P288, the lowest in the market today.

All promo rates are not inclusive of surcharges and taxes. Duty Manager Pamela Quizeo said the latest promo is in line with the company's vision to be the preferred low cost carrier in the Philippines.

To avail of the flight bargains, passengers are advised to plan their trips early since the promo fares are on limited seats only, the press release said.

Air Philippines flies daily to major destinations in the country - Manila, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Davao and General Santos. These flights are code shared with sister company Philippine Airlines.*

That shows that the two other airlines can no longer cater the high demand of passengers going to Bacolod and Negros Occidental, both local and foreign tourist, adding more flights is good signs of vibrant economy of this province. Bacolod catered 10 flights a day 4 in Philippine airlines, 4 in cebu pacific, and 2 in air philippines. actually Bacolod needs at least 14 flights a day, the planes goes to Bacolod is always fully booked. SIGE BACOLOD BATO KITA!!!!
