Saint Louis does know how to sparkle during the Holiday season indeed! I really love the first, fifth, and eighth images: indeed, those really bring Holiday cheers!

Question: you've taken a night shot of the building I have been thinking about -- on your fourth picture, what building is it really, if not the City Hall? I mean, I still mistake it for a government building for some reason... And it certainly doesn't look like a hotel either.

As for the third picture, is that a museum or government structure too?

The 4th photo is the Old St. Louis County Courthouse, it was built as a combination federal and state courthouse. Construction started in 1816 and was
completed in 1864. It is now part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and operated by the National Park Service for historical exhibits and events.

Fotos made inside the building St. Louis 1910

The third photo is the Missouri History Museum

Oh very interesting indeed. And it looks like the courthouse is pretty colorful too, especially with the dome and the exterior, like instead of just pure white, it has a green roof and pink dome interiors... It's like, I've not seen a courthouse that's just that colorful (think creative) indeed.

Indeed, those art works make me feel that I am watched by them, especially with the huge eyeball sculpture! Makes me want to bring my friends and explore that park! How close is it from Downtown Saint Louis?

That park is indeed a great place to visit & is only 15/20 min from Downtown, just next to I44 & I270. That's what I like from St. Louis you can go from one end to another and it'll take you 25/30 min.

gotta love that pink taxi! And by the way, your downtown area looks pretty fantastic indeed! Two questions from your latest update:

- on your first pic, what are those playground-looking structures right in front of an office building? It looks like those don't make any sense to me if it is part of a park or something...

- on your last pic, it looks like Lego bricks stacking in all directions, but keeping its rectangular motif. What building is it?

I wonder how a city museum can become a children's playground at the same time...

As for your latest photo collection, are all of those taken this winter? It seems like your first photo was taken during the Fall while the rest were taken during the winter... And I truly like the second to the last pic: lots of snow on the roadside while the road stays clear! Great shots!

Lol that's a great question, I asked myself the exact same question when I heard about the place for the first time. Here are some info :Welcome to City Museum, where the imagination runs wild!

Housed in the 600,000 square-foot former International Shoe Company, the museum is an eclectic mixture of children’s playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of unique, found objects. The brainchild of internationally acclaimed artist Bob Cassilly, a classically trained sculptor and serial entrepreneur, the museum opened for visitors in 1997 to the riotous approval of young and old alike. City Museum boasts features such as old chimneys, salvaged bridges, construction cranes, miles of tile, and even two abandoned planes!

“City Museum makes you want to know,” says Cassilly. “The point is not to learn every fact, but to say, ‘Wow, that’s wonderful.’ And if it’s wonderful, it’s worth preserving.”

About the last photos I did them last winter b/c so far we haven't had any winter but hopefully we'll get some snow this February

Very interesting indeed. Perhaps that similar concept can be done in other larger museums so that visitors can not only see historical materials, but allow their children to play outside with even more historical stuff as if those would spark their imagination even further! It is akin to a hands-on experience, in which a few museums do offer... And is it paid admission too?

Dang, Fox Theater looks huge to me, and it seems like, oh dear, what's going on inside? The interior has a lot of elements as if I've visited a Chinese temple myself, with intricate designs on the walls and ceilings, yet it looks like a restaurant operates amidst the Oriental theme that adorns the interior. Hmmm, looks like it is indeed a hot place to visit for movies. Sometimes, what you see on the outside does not necessarily look the same on its inside... I was quite fooled at first that it has a modest outside, but inside is a whole different world. Great shots again, dude! and

Thx for your continuously comments mate
Regards to the Fox theatre it's one of those places that you say wow when you first see it from inside. My photos don't show much, it shows only the waiting area. If you google Fox theatre you'll see what a gorgeous place it is it's a must see if you visit St. Louis

Wait a minute... Did you do summer versus winter photos on your latest collection? Dang, it looks like the streets shape up well, be it with the sun shining or snow falling! It looks like Saint Louis indeed is fond of the arch shape, with the Gateway Arch again showing in all its glory and the double arched bridge transporting vehicles across the Mississippi (or is it just the Saint Louis River, you tell me!). Plus, where is that windmill located? I haven't seen a Dutch-style windmill anywhere in the country except in your photo... Splendid shots again!
