Sure... But what took Air Koryo a long time to purchase the AN-148 to begin with when it could've ordered even more from Tupolev or even explore the Sukhoi Superjet, given that N Korea deals with Russia a lot?

And it's already have been delivered. On that photo it's at Antonov Plant in Kyiv in December 2012.

Hmmm the AN-148 looks like the Ukrainian version of the BaE-146 from some time back... hopefully, it will be used either for domestic services or short-haul regional flights from FNJ.

They just needed a regional plane. Moreover, An-148 is cheaper than SSJ and (what can be as a main advantage) it can land on any runway, including Grass/Gravel/Earth/Graded Earth and etc.

It does look like that, however AN-148 was developed from Antonov An-74 (while An-74 was developed from An-72):

If you are talking about An-74, it's in mass production aircraft. First Flight occurred in 1983.

The AN-74 would be ideal for Air Koryo...

Oh, sorry - my bad. Well, An-74 is not that comfortable for regular civil flights. It's mostly used by military.

So the only long haul aircraft available to Air Koryo would be Il 96?

I don't think so... it's going to be the TU204-300.

If that's the case, it'll be another aircraft used for regional flights then for Air Koryo... What's the possibility of repeat orders for the same aircraft (AN-74 and AN-158)?

Well, I am not sure if there is a possibility to place orders (civil aviation) for AN-74. Thus, we should only consider AN-148/AN-158. Moreover, they are more efficient than An-74.

With respect to the possibility of repeat order, it depends whether Air Koryo will be satisfied with the aircraft or not, and whether it will suitable for their routes expansion plan.
