I like the design of this mall, why are there so many negative comments about it ??

i think it's very unique, will be a major landmark in kuwait if it's built appropriatly.

Yea its pretty cool and unique!!
Usual malls look should be changed, and i think thar sahoud is smart and brave because he took the chance to change the concept of malls in kuwait

I don't think he'll ever build this mall in the proposed design. It's not the first time Sahoud proposes a unique design; he has a pair of leaning towers in Kuwait City that never made it past the sketch pads. The only reason, I believe, for him to make such an announcement is to make a profit off selling the plot.

معلومات جديده : المشروع 40 % مول و 60 % ترفيه , يبلغ ارتفاع المدينه الثلجيه 25 م و تحتوي كل النشاطات الثلجيه و متحف و كافيه جليدي , و سوف يحتوي المجمع على سينما 7 دي و سوف تكون هناك مدينه ملاهي للكبار و الصغار مساحتها 8,000 متر مربع و ارتفاعها 40 متر , سطح المبنى عباره عن كافيهات و مطاعم بالاضافه الى النوافير ,و يبلغ ارتفاع مبنى المجمع فقط 60 متر ( 14 طابق ) و يحتوي المول على اربع طوابق و يبلغ ارتفاع اعلى نقطه في المشروع ككل 160 متر و الافتتاح ان شاء الله في الربع الاول من 2015

I'm not sorry to tell that i find this project ugly as shit , i think the old Salmiya buildings has some history and always dreamed of a solider alike in the same area , Sahood projects seems to me tasteless and a bad example of a new money owners

dude its one of the worst projects ever and probably its considered as an architectural disaster to the country add to that his sense of being beduin those guys normally has no taste in everything!!!...look at all his projects they are a big failure in terms of design and lack of creativity ...38aidi o 3a6ooh floos what do u expect!!..i personally think he is a national disaster! and should be ceased

i completely agree, the money shouldve been spent on regenerating the whole area by keeping the old buildings and bringing it back to life,taking it back to its previous glory. its the only high street like area of kuwait we dont need more indoor malls in this country, especially not ones that look this ugly.

Theres a difference between historical architecture in dubai, which is very very minimal since most of the city was built in the 90's, and that of kuwait, all the modernist building of the 60s and 70s should be listed and saved, but unfortunately theyre being knocked down and replaced with cheap, pretentious looking buildings. I respect the fact that you think this building looks good, difference people have different opinions, however i dont think its the right project for this area at all. Kuwait doesnt have to be another dubai, we have our own identity, a richer history and we should be proud of that not try to copy whatever is going on there.
