ICTSI Climbs to Record on Honduras Port Contract: Manila Mover
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...ila-mover.html

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICT), the largest Philippine port operator, jumped to a record in Manila trading after the company signed a $624 million contract for a port in Honduras.

ICTSI, as the company based in Manila is also called, said it signed a 30-year contract to upgrade and manage the container and general cargo terminal for Puerto Cortes in Honduras. ICTSI, operator of Manila’s largest port, has 27 terminal concessions and port development projects in 19 countries including the US, Brazil and China, according to its 2012 annual report. The company won the Honduran contract in February.

ICTSI’s profit increased 9.7 percent to $143.2 million in 2012 as revenue rose 9.7 percent to $729.3 million driven by an 8 percent gain in volumes at its ports and terminals at home and abroad, according to a stock exchange filing on March 11.

The company has set a $550 million budget for capital expenditures this year, mainly to complete projects in Argentina and Mexico and to accelerate construction in Colombia and Davao, a city in southern Philippines.

Ang laki ng container port nila dito sa Portland, Oregon. I think, they took over the entire Terminal 6 to serve the US mainland.

dont compare solaire manila to rw manila because they have different markets. solaire caters mostly to vips. players always says that rw has free sandwich while solaire only have drinks. i macau they dont serve food to mass gaming. they should use there points in their membership card. thats why you should have membership card in solaire because points there are fast uhnlike in rw

In Chinese, the number 8 sounds like prosperity maybe that's why they think it's a lucky number.

Solaire's interiro is really fabulous. Bumalik ako kagabi and i realized the finishing materials used are top notch and the quality of work very very good. Nothing major is out of place. Tried the fastfood, food is ok but nothing spectacular, i mean for its price and the food servings medyo mahal but then its a hotel so i shouldnt expect much. I tried lucky noodles and its good, comparable sa HK noodle shops. Il try their buffet next Fresh.

Parking is pangit. I really think they would reconfigure the parking coz its too accident prone, at least libre pa sya for now. As of now wala talagang magawa dun sa loob kungdi mag gamble so hopefully the next phases will address lack of entertainment facilities. Most of the people playing slot machines are locals and many of them senior citizens. I saw a sprinkling of foreigners, many taiwanese, hk, and korean basing it on the language they're using. Many of them also wearing rubber slippers shorts and crew necks parang nasa bahay lang. Maraming locals OTOH are dressed up especially the older women. Oh yah i also applied for a free membership to avail of rewards points.Free din ang mineral water for all players.

actually phase A1 and 2 will cater to the entertainment side. nagfocus muna sila sa casino kasi yung naman ang primary purpose ng Solaire.

Wow I didn't know they were able to get the 8888888 telephone number. Hard to believe that all these years, no one was able to afford/willing to buy this number. Heck not even SM or RWM.

Yesterday I witnessed security dragging a drunk out. The drunk was in a heated conversation with a pit boss until security came to drag him out, literally.

The fine dining restaurants have sky high prices while the fastfood menu costs an average of P200. It's OK to charge exorbitant prices but they better be damn sure the food will taste as good as restaurants in HK and Macau since they are practically charging the same.

Love the food at Fresh and the buffet price is reasonable too. It doesn't hurt that we got a good discount c/o special friends.

Well the michellin starred chefs do cost a lot of money and that adds to the cost of the food.

I even saw a caucasian lady working inside the sapporo stall at the fast food court. Im sure theyre paid international rates. Di pwede ang local minimum wage dyan

Tigas kasi ng ulo eh.

Sinabi na ngang may dress code more so because it was the opening with a lot of VIP guests pero ipipilit pa rin makapasok na naka shorts at slippers lang tapos magrereklamo pa sa management. If you don't want to stink then use the aircon in your vehicle or don't go to the place at all. Simple lang yan eh.

would you say that you're NOT informed for NOT wearing "proper attire"!????

did it not get into your nerves nor heaven brought down to your senses that you should be wearing trousers instead of SHORTS!????

Sorry to sound rude but I think the management is just right to escort you outside. This is NOT SM Mall of Asia you know!? You deserve it IMHO.

Oh btw, so that you'll be informed.

If the president of PH and the VIPs were able of withstood the heat(+humidity) in proper attire for a "GRAND" opening occasion of the first billion dollar casino in PH, then you as a pro casino reviewer, should be able, at a very minimum dress accordingly for a "GRAND" event of that magnitude. As a pro reviewer, you should have known better, here's a pointer for you, maybe a quick call will answer your dress code and VIP only concerns. Here's another pointer for you, maybe email them or facebook them, days ahead of time before the event. And here's my final pointer for you, it is ok to be over dress than under dress, at least they'll let you in.There is really no point in pointing fingers at Solaire's website, facebook page, management and security for an information that you could have easily gotten with "DILIGENCE" that's what professionals do.

I hope you did not barge in there with an attitude na "reviewer ako ng world casino directory, so....", "this is not acceptable, this is not customer service..." , "I did not know, walang dress code sa website/facebook page nyo, hindi nyo ipinost...", "this is how you threat a guest".......ect. This is a poor, unprofessional excuse of a professional reviewer going about doing his/her work. BTW, there was a media day before the grand opening, you should have been there with some research. Stating that you've reviewed 8 super nice casinos in Macau and not once had a problem(not grand opening) with dress code and photography...then of course your threatening pending review of Solaire in May/June will either make or break your credibility as a professional reviewer.
