We will just wait for any positive developments regarding sa Privatization nito at sa expansions sa Clark Airport. Malamang mangyayari rin ang mga iyan in the future

that's what i was thinking too.. maybe it and Alaminos Airport (once completed) could serve as executive airports for the region, especially once TPLEx is finished...

Alaminos airport aims for 2016 opening
Posted on March 25, 2012 - Filed Under Business, News | Leave a Comment

ALAMINOS CITY—With funding for the construction of the airport in Alaminos already included in the Annual General Appropriations Act starting this year, city officials are optimistic that the facility will be able to start operations before the end of President Benigno Aquino III’s term in 2016.

Alaminos City Administrator Wilmer Panabang said land acquisition for the 150-hectare airport is now almost complete and construction of an access road from the highway to the airport is ongoing.

At least P150 million was initially released by the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) for land acquisition alone while the construction of the access road is being funded by a P21 million budget from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Panabang said city officials are confident that the Aquino administration will complete the airport as it is considered a priority project for tourism in the Hundred Islands National Park and Pangasinan as a whole.

It takes about five hours by land transport from Manila to the Hundred Islands, while air travel will only be about 45 minutes.

With a planned three-kilometer runway suited for big planes, the Alaminos Airport will start with domestic flights and eventually open for international services similar to the Laoag International Airport in Ilocos Norte.

“Definitely when it finally opens, it will be bigger than the Laoag International Airport which is only 75 hectares,” Panabang said.

Panabang added that two airlines have already signified their intention to service the Manila-Alaminos-Manila route.

5 hours from Manila.

Uhm this airport wad deveveloped, first because of Loakan airport in Baguio's poor visibility, thus making this airport supposedly an alternate one,and second because of the growing tourist arrivals. What's nothing special here? We have a 5-star hotel, beautiful beaches and surfing spots, and many foreigners do visit our province, what's nothing special there? Even tourists in Baguio go down to La Union for sidetrips. It's obvious you do not know pretty much about La Union

Feasibility of Alaminos Airport? I don't know the exact year but i'm pretty sure it is during the latter years of tenure of PGMA. Marami naman ang pupupunta roon, i can't find data figures for this

Dito sa amin sa northeast ng zam peninsula, we have 3 very close airports with 2-4 hours land travel time from south to north namely Pagadian, Ozamiz and Dipolog. All these three cities are economic centers of their respective provinces and are serve by 2 airlines using 134-180 seater Airbus planes. I don't know what is the case there in Central Luzon, correct me if I'm wrong in geo tagging of your place, because people there have the option to go to Manila via land travel which we can't avail due to our distance to Manila.

Clark Airport naman is 95 kms from Manila airport (NAIA) and alternate airport siya incase may aberya man sa NAIA
