5/6/2017 Update:

Archive:
Summary:

A very long photo update of skyscrapers U/C in Downtown Seattle, Belltown, Denny Triangle & SLU. (Short Version)

2&U

Excavation about ~1-2 levels below 2nd Ave.









210 Wall Street

Deepest part about ~1-2 levels below ground.



Amazon Tower 3 & Tower 2 Domes

Tower 3 excavation seems to have bottomed out & exotic plants have been placed in the dome closest to 6th Ave. (MORE DETAIL)





Seattle Children's Research Center

Pit looks like about 3 levels below ground.





Nexus

Shoring in progress; dirt is exposed, but crews have not started digging yet.



1200 Stewart Street Twins

No changes noted in the past 6 weeks. Site still fenced off.



Seattle Times South & North Blocks

Digging started for south block; about 1-2 levels below ground; trees on northeast corner still remain. For north block, demolition seems to have stopped, with all existing rubble removed and part of the site turned into a temporary replacement parking lot for the Seattle Times.





425 Fairview Avenue North

Floorplates for tower ~4-5 levels, with the core at ~6-7; rest of project at about ground level.







970 Denny Way

What appears to be sheetrock wall installation just started; tower floorplates at level ~14, core at level ~16. The tower is now visible from the Space Needle Camera.





McKenzie Apartments

Tower's floorplates at level ~19, core at level ~22-23 and curtainwall glass installed as high as level 8. The tower is now visible from Duwamish Point - West Seattle.









Hyatt Regency Hotel

Concrete floorplates for tower at about level ~7-8, core about level ~9-10, while fireproofing for steel conference podium at about ~5-6 floors. (MORE DETAIL)



2116 4th Avenue

Floorplate is only 1 level above ground and concrete core at only ~2-3 levels. Project seems to be moving very slowly.





West Edge Tower

Tower cladding at level 14, floorpates at level 28, concrete core level ~30.







2nd & Pine + Charter Hotel

2nd & Pine tower still has some work remaining on upper floors and roof; exterior looks mostly complete. Charter Hotel crews using the Macy's parking garage top floor for staging area; hotel building floorplates at level ~13 or 14, while cladding at level 8.













Stadium East Office Tower + Hotel Tower

Large discrepancy in the cladding progress for the office tower, with one corner reaching level 14, but south and east sides have cladding to only levels 6 or 7. Hotel tower exterior looking complete.









F5 Tower

Flathead Liebherr crane removal, but much work remains for the roof. (MORE DETAIL)





Madison Centre

Cladding reaches to level 36 and glass installation for rotunda has finished. (MORE DETAIL)







Tower 12

Looks finished, this will be the last update on this tower.







924 Howell Hotel

Glass and window installation look complete, but work remains to cover the sheetrock, plus the roof and ground level.



Stratus

Much work remains for upper floors, with cladding reaching level 36. (MORE DETAIL)



Kinects

Exteriors look mostly complete, with some work remaining near the top and near ground level.







AMLI Arc Tower & Tilt 49 Office

Office section looks largely complete; residential tower cladding at level 37 with much work to be done in the upper floors.

The Google blocks are more like 600,000 sf of office and 150 housing units. The housing-intensive version was shelved and the offices increased.

It's not in site prep...they're shoring. That means big money is being spent and the team considers construction underway.

Liebherr crane stub has appeared, about 3 levels below ground.

Floorplates at about levels 21-22, core about 1-2 levels above floorplates, cladding to levels 12-15.

Almost complete, sidewalks recently opened.

Project seems to be moving very slowly, only recently reached 1-2 levels above street level.

Block 20, core approaching street level, along with floorplates; steel beams recently placed. Block 21, site cleared and excavation about 1-2 levels below street level. Still waiting on the middle sphere to light up at night.









(16) Tilt 49 Office & ALMI Arc Residential Tower:

***Last time on these updates.*** Sidewalks now open on all sides of this project.



(17) Building Cure:

Approaching ground level.





(18) Stratus:

Finishing touches being put on; triangular park should be interesting public space. Rooftop lighting for the top deck.











(19) Nexus:

Does not seem on hold. Elevator core being formed. About 5 levels below ground.



(20) McKenzie Apartments: [MORE PHOTOS]

Appears topped out, construction crews were frantically removing the yellow formwork the day before high winds. Cladding to level 32.









(21) 1200 Stewart Towers 1 & 2:

Yawn.



(22) Denny Centre:

***New addition to this list***. No more lowrise building.



(23) 970 Denny Way:

Building stands out like Xmas tree and forms the first step in the future Denny skyscraper canyon. Cladding reaches level 24, while floorplates at level 39 and core should be topping out soon.

















(24) Onni Project South & North Blocks: [MORE PHOTOS]

South Block underground parking structure starting to take shape, while North Block remains idle due to change of plans.







(25) 425 Fairview Ave N: [MORE PHOTOS]

Towers seems topped out at 25 floors, while cladding reaches level 18. Much work remains for midrise 6 story woodframe portion.
