I hope budget engineering won't slash some of the features.

Good morning, everyone

Has anyone produced a rendering of the view from central park that includes all the completed and proposed supertalls slated for Midtown?

I'd love to see one if anyone knows of it being posted here.

I just can't get over how amazing that view is going to be over the next few years. Absolutely awe-inspiring.

Thanks!

Only One Vanderbilt is missing, which is further southeast in midtown.

Good rendering. For some reason I feel the design of the Nordstrom Tower is the less fitting for the CPS wall. Of all the new supertalls, the design of the Nordstrom Tower is the one I like the least. I honestly find it quite boring.

I like steinway but it's almost too skinny... it'll still look good from a lot of angles though. Nordstrom is both tall and powerful looking and has a nice blue facade, 432 to some extent but not as much.

The first promotional ad is in this weekend's NYT Mag! I am speechless!!!

ShOP are transforming NY. I can't wait to see what they have planned for 80 South St and 360 10th, and kudos to JDS, who here and on First Ave., have given new landmarks to NYC.

The ad disclosed the website too, which is www.111w57.com

I'll do a full scan of that image when I get my Sunday NYT in my driveway tomorrow morning, unless someone does it first.

Here's a screencap from an image we've seen from the JDS website, but larger:

That terracotta reminds me of the problems that occurred at the top of the Woolworth building, on the spires, with the terracotta tiles coming loose. It looks like 111 will be very expensive to construct, and to maintain.

It also looks like there are two tones for the metalwork, and for the terracotta.

I wonder if there will be bronze at the top of the building on the Central Park side. That would look incredible when lit up at night.

Interesting article on the Woolworth issues, including the replacement of 26,000 terracotta pieces (with pre-cast concrete):

Wow, in the rendering Robert posted you can finally see how skinny it is from the South/North angles.

It's certainly unique though
