It's like a conversation between those tall supermodels where 432 PA feels like the fat girl.

432 Park Avenue today would be considered a plus sized model in Architecture Illustrated.

I wonder if another tower in NY will ever top the Steinway Tower because it`s yet thiner
Is this even possible or would the floor space be to small for elevators and living area?

Each floor are full floor units with many apartments being duplex's. There is plenty of room as you can see in this typical floor plan in this tower.

If money was no object then this would be the place I would want to have my castle in the sky.

Ever is a very long time. Eventually there will be thinner towers. With nonstop progress in engineering technology it is inevitable. The question isn't if, the question is when

Since the tower is basically a rectangle I wonder if it was ever considered to have the balconies facing the park and the glass facing downtown?

If no permanent part of the building has been constructed, it is not under construction.

I think it could be possible, but not probable. I think this one is near the border to let enough space, could be som a bit thinner but not much.

Yes, in part we can say it is indeed under construction since they broke ground. But according to SSC guidelines, a building can only go to the construction forum once they began working in the fundations themselves, I.E. pouring concrete. once we see that, it will go to the construction forum.

next page.
