Not sure but the tower will be ~60' by ~80' (19m by 24m) more or less at the base.

Also a mod needs to change the title to 1428 feet 435m and 82 floors

456m2 then... damn, most highrises are built on a bigger lot.

Anyway, another amazing project, I remember when 2-3 years ago there was barely a few interesting towers rising up, now it's 7-8 supertalls in various construction phases.

I hope the owner can put it on airBnB and then we can rent it for one night

Two proofs that even today there are architects who are true masters in their art. Nordstrom, 432 Park, Steinway, Verre, 220 Central Park ........ nowhere in the world can a person see more phenomenal architecture than on 57th street in NYC (or close to it in the case of Verre)

Well, not everywhere else, but yeah certainly lots of good architecture in other places. I think Kanto just meant 57th street will have a notable concentration of supertall "starchitecture" all on on street. Which is pretty cool.

2WTC is not arround 57th street, but I agree, it is a phenomenal building. All four WTC towers are masterpieces of architecture, however 2WTC excels even among them

A bunch of not so smiling faces outside main gate this AM, don't know if they were getting ready to work or to dissuade others from reporting.

Considering they(union) had a MAJOR demonstration in front of this building the other nite.

I think “They” with the not so smiling faces had started demonstrating way back since January and I’m pretty sure those sad faces will continue on indefinitely until the tower completes.

Not on 57th but another Foster design is Hearst tower. That being said I think the area around WTC may have more starchitects than 57th st.

It would be another record of extremely slim skyscraper in the world (more extreme than 432 Park Ave)
