On their own they are (IMO) out of place, but once 3-4 of them have been completed I think they will look much better.

I guess you don't like the 1920/30s classic skyline then.

This is a BILLION miles away from those glorious buildings. It's like comparing Mount Everest with a cabbage.

You can disco as much as you want.

I simply find it too shiny in a way that is not classy. It is OVERstated. A heavy touch of neuveau riche...

Funny, I think the render looks better. The lower picture looks very plastic somehow, dunno. Maybe it's just that picture

You peanut gallery critics are way off base. This building is a masterpiece. Great design and cladding, including terra cotta and brass textured to capture the light in so many different ways.

Yeah, Dubai has cheap flammable cladding, this has the same materials as the Woolworth Building.

This is as wrong a statement as the laws of the universe allow. Show me one ******* tower in Dubai with sloping terracotta.

Terra Cotta has been a NY staple since the Woolworth Building was clad in it in 1913, it's elegant, timeless, and iconic in NYC, so no this isn't some tacky ass Dubai cladding. This is probably the best cladding I've ever seen on a modern high-rise, alongside that copper cladding on first avenue.

That tiny lot size is just too incredible to comprehend. Amazing. Supergeil.

This model popped up on my instagram feed!

Some interesting towers to be seen on it! (Eg between steinway and 432 pa - appears to be roughly 280m tall!)

Progress on this tower is infuriatingly slow.
