Good lord, what are those, 30 foot ceilings? That's phenomenal.

That is stunning, and I'm very impressed if it is indeed indicative of what the crown will look like.

That 6sqft article and video is fantastic. Also, from one of their photos, it looks like we have an answer to our lighting question:

Vertical LED strips tucked behind the terra cotta lip. Shouldn't bother the residents one bit, but should provide a heck of a show from the outside! Courtesy of L'Observatoire International, who are also doing the lighting for Hudson Yards.

Last month, JDS Development wowed us with an image showing a visual curtain wall mockup of their super-tower underway at 111 West 57th Street. Now the Michael Stern-led development team in partnership with Property Markets Group has released a new video and a handful of images to keep our mouths watering for what is poised to become New York’s most daring skyscraper in generations.

I was wondering about that. Being LEDs, they probably are, although I actually hope they don't do a funky colored light show. This tower is too classy -- and if you watch that video, they've taken a lot of care thinking about the color of the materials, so it's hard to imagine them cycling through a whole light rainbow.

We were shown a lighted crown on One57 that never materialized.

This looks like it would be the new HQ for Wayne Enterprises 2 Batman reboots down the road.

Between this, the 57th ST. Pyramid, Tower Verre and 10/30 HY, I don't see how any city can catch up to NYC on the architecture front.
