You curse at me and call me names and say I'm disrespectful? I didn't do that to no one here.

So this one will never hold the title as highest residential tower.

I'm willing to bet that this one completes before World One even tops out.

Who cares about height, when you get beauty? As long it's not unvisible in the skyline due to a lack of height.

This project still amazes me.

For those of you not familiar with the Steinway building and the adjacent plot, this 1400'-plus tower will rise to the right of those two green copper roofs.

Hi everyone.

It's my first post but I've been reading since mmm a lot!

The photo above inspired me for this first post:
How do you think they will sort out the windows cleaning since this tower won't have a proper roof? (I got inspired watching One57 roof)

P.S.: I am an italian architect, I lived and worked in New York City in 2014 and now I'm in London. Of course I'm in love with NYC <3

Welcome to the forum, airpix84.

I have no info, where the window cleaning lift will be located.
But I assume, that they will be installed in the wind breaks.
The crown will probably be cleaned less frequently by industrial climbers. Maybe a system of catwalks and ladders in the crown will help a bit.

In this post by otie, you can get a detailed rendering of the tower, including crown and wind breaks:

This is going to be a gem. I adore the renders. Going to be a beautiful, art deco 1920s/30s inspired throwback. And the name Steinway Tower that just sounds classy!

Thank God someone knows what is best for NYC. I just don't know how they would manage without your constructive and insightful wisdom.

Now as a guy from Rome can I tell Barcelona what is best for you? You obviously need help since you built Torre Agbar.
