Are you guys jealous of me that I pass by this building twice a day and will see it built in real-time?

No, not really.
Although I'm a technical guy, I prefer living in the countryside...

As someone who gets to walk past the weird clumpy towers of the City of London everyday, I am extremely jealous

I am too but I start to like the multiplicity of towers that are being built there.
Even if I'm a former new yorker and in love with New York City I have to admit that the Cheesegrater is Rogers's masterpiece, way better than 3WTC!

Very true, i walked down that street today and now I adjust my comment to "as someone who gets to walk past stunning towers like the Cheesegrater, Swiss Re and the Lloyds building and Tower 42, I am slightly jealous you get to walk past this building every day

Now that the facade is going up and we can see the real thing. I am sure this will end up in so many architecture books. And this tower will be a very bright addition to the skyline. I thought the terracota will be of a much darker tone.

The tower is looking lovely.

Expect many people will be surprised at how skinny and tall this thing is going to get.

Maybe even its own category because it goes beyond PoMo. It will be the poster child for "neo art-deco" or "art-deco revival" in those books.

LLoyds is great, what an interesting building. Would like to see those types of buildings made again (inside-out). Rogers does his best work in London.

This tower is like something out of a dream. Seeing it rising almost as tall as the ESB's antenna while clad like that is going to be amazing.

Now that the cladding is visible and this spectacular, there should be no problem shopping this around to the usual oligarchs and other assorted fat cats. They love their bling. CPT will have a hard time competing for the same dollars with this brilliant tower.

To me, the cladding is beautiful, and it demonstrates the power of the curved line superimposed upon the expected straight lines of a skyscraper.
