Agreed, and I am very much anticipating what it will look like in more than just a render.

Btw, it will be great for the city's economy if many billionaires will live in it. These folks spend a lot and that is water for the windmills of money flow. Besides, I read in an article posted in the 432 Park thread that 70% of the buyers of apartments in the building are american, so hopefully people will indeed live in these buildings and not just put their money into them
I agree. That high number of 70% was a bit of a surprise to me allthough I hadn't read any numbers at all (except for London).
There is probably still a good deal of speculation in this market anyway.

Looks amazing, nice to see NY continually get unique architecture unlike some places.

New York and Dubai Marina should never be mentioned in the same sentence.
-----------

New York's way of building skyscrapers is just perfect. Driven by demand and located in a super dense area.

Midtown plateau (average):
1900 - 1930: ~500 - 600ft
1930 - 2000: ~700 - 800ft
2000 - 2010: ~800 - 1000ft
2010 - 2020: ~1000 - 1300ft
2020 - ?: 1500ft - 2000ft?

According to the Old Testament, people decided to try and build a building to reach so high they could reach heaven, called the Tower of Babel. It was around 300 feet tall when God supposedly grew angry and destroyed it. You see, according to the Bible, everyone spoke the same language until this event. God supposedly changed the language of everyone who tried to build it, and people spread from Mesopotamia to fill the rest of the world with people of their languages, though I think we all can deduct that this never happened.

I also thought of the Tower of Babel due to all of this building's steps to heaven. I didn't get the joke even with the language reference. Good one!

This will look beautiful, and it will make the people in Central Park more astounded by the proportions than even 432 PArk, which is saying something.

Fins most likely, like at 250 West 55th Street.

Hmmm

Not sure I like this render, not very 2013 New York.
