107 is one of the legitimate addresses on the site, but it's pretty clear that this building will be marketed from here on out as 111 (unless it's given some kind of name, but even then, they'll probably still put a "111" on the front). We might as well adopt it in order to avoid confusion.

111 is good, I like palindromic numbers.

Yeah, I like it better too. But what's up with changing 225 to 217? Any multiple of 25 is golden, but to trade it for a 17? Makes no sense...

Lol. Agreed. Me like 225 way better should Extell decide the official address to be a number for marketing purposes.

I would really prefer that they make the "Nordstrom Tower " official. It's sounds cooler for a tower

Yep, 111 57th sounds better than 107 and I prefer 225 to 217, but if Extell makes it 1,500 ft plus and tweaks the design some more to make it really stand out I don't care what they call it, I'll be too in love!

I think that this one will be rather known as the "Steinway Tower" and 217 as the "Nordstrom Tower".

That link has a slightly bigger render. I've cropped it to 1600 x 900:

Anyone worried? Hope it stays over 400m. 390 - 399m is just cruel lol.

Remember that diagram that showed an elevation of 1351' and a height of the tower cap of 1291'.

The only part I'm not totally sold on is the diagonal copper cross-bracing. I think the wavy terra cotta is interesting enough without that extra element, but that's just me.

SHOP says bronze/brass, not copper. And that's one of the best features of this tower. The east and west faces will be terra cotta and brass, and the north and south faces will have bronze.

My mistake. I like the materials, just not sure about the shape of that element. Still beautiful as planned, but if I were the architect, I'd have left it off in favor of the simpler version.

But that's what makes this tower so unique, although I'd rather stainless steel cross bracing than bronze.
