Is it really 60' above sea level there? I guess I'm happily wrong and we've got a 1400 footer

Crazy times!
The skyline is becoming immensely tall.
ESB will be knocked out of NY's top ten within the decade if the existing propsals and construction will already set it to number 9.

NY will be (and kinda already is) so crazy.

The crown on this tower is just insane.

Ok alright got your point there. I agree this might be one of the if not the most wanted building site of the world. Still I'd prefer to see one of those supertalls to be at least mixed use and with an observation platform as the view would be beyond stunning plus, as mentioned in post above the appearance of ESB (just the height, not the cultural value) will lose importance significantly on midtown of the next decades

This project has been nothing but good news ... first it was a lame box, barely 200m / 656ft tall:

Some time later it got a little height increase (690') and the design changed:

And now we got 1,400' of pure awesomeness:

Thanks, these numbers can be quite useful following the construction.

I'd say the first 2 designs are good enough te be used for another tower, especially the second one.

That second design looks like two ugly buildings went into a broken teleportation device and only one came out the other side. Those windows are horrible.

Here is the floor height breakdown, based on the numbers hunser posted. These are for option 2, but I doubt option 1 will be much different. Also, I noticed 432 park avenue also has the 15.5 floor height.

1:_____15
2:_____13.5
3:_____16.3
4:_____11.6
5:_____11.4
6:_____12
7:_____11.6
8-9:___11.7
10:____11.6
11-12:_11.7
13:____12
14-15:_13
16-17:_15.6
18-94:_15.5
95:____8.5

Good news! So the two options are 1412' and 1421', there's not much difference there, i'm glad it made it above 1400.

Yes, those are official documents. Thread title should be changed to 1,421ft / 433m and 95 floors.

These projects are a massive jolt to the economy due to the excavation, construction, contracting, legal, financial and real estate marketing they generate. Buildings like 432 Park, One57, 111 W 57th, 220 CPS, 217 W 57th etc. wouldn't be built as they have been designed if middle class purchasers were the intended market. There's a tremendous number of middle and upper-middle class apartments being constructed all over NYC right now. I think we should be glad that spectacular residential towers are going up here and there.

This is my favorite NYC project due to the design, height, the tiny lot on which part of the tower will sit, and its integration with the Steinway.

BTW, nice to see that the old "STEINWAY" carved sign will be returning to its rightful place.

This tower will just be insane in every way from design to height width ratio etc etc.

My excitement level for this tower has risen to the level of Verre and Nordstrom in my book.

Exceptional tallness is what makes them epic. -> Together with good exterior design makes them icons through time.

How iconic all these new tall towers will be... That remains to be seen. Only time will tell eventually.
