i dont think buses can run on the track by 25th... still a lot of work left and they should take proper time, they have already done great job, i think a 2 weeks delay will not harm.

They might start Metro bus service within a month but completion of project (footpaths, side landscape/beautification will take atleast 3 more moths) Last edited by Malik Architect; December 17th, 2012 at 10:44 AM. |

I hope what ever you said is true. But my brother again, when we see water truck parked on bus way just to water the plants for 2 times in a day. Would we really like that?. Wouldn't that effect and pose another safety hazard for the fast buses running both lanes on flyover. Would that not slow down the speed of bus?. Secondly what is the point to increase our expenses just in the name of beautification. This will slow down everything. May be, one day if they stop sending water truck for some reason then this will be full of dust and dirty shopping bags. Would be hard to clean for automatic cleaning machines as well.

This matter is not like as we are discussing. These rood callers (FOOTPATHS) are not for pedestrian or for flower port, we can also use for flower Ports. Actually these are not the part of road these are part of bridge. If you see road part that is staying on the beams to hold the load of buses and whole stricture. These footpaths are extended on both side of road; they don’t have any strange sport down ward. If you see the pictures during construction time you will find different services UPVC pipes are running in these footpaths. Just image if we don’t have these footpaths, there will be only barriers on both side and during deriving bus can come near main barriers on that part which is not enough strange to hold the weight of bus. These footpaths are an additional barrier to protect the main barrier. Any little negligence by the driver if wheels were touch the footpaths the driver will be alert before bus strike to main barriers.
Also these footpaths are use for service crew, for cleaning, any maintenance electricity, and replacement of lamps etc. |

Dear friends today I went to kasur for some project. While driving I caught few pictures which clearly show that lot of work is still left.
Om192, sorry even today I couldnot get picture of bus depot. but want to share something. The bus service in not going to stop or take turn back from Gajjumata, but is turning about 1 mile before, even before Hudyara Drain. They have made big round about for turning buses similar to one in Shahdara. Bus depot. is not in Gajjumata but opposite to Yohanabad. |
