Thank you!

For today I will show a short youtube video about the ancient milan, how it was prior the II ww bombings and the real-estate speculations of the post war...beside the huge number of stunning monuments that the city have conserved and that are shown in this thread, making it one of the most artistically and culturally interesting city in Europe, the city have changed so much since then...the "vecchia milano" has been an enchanted city able to charm poets and writers like Stendhal
this is an Hommage to a wonderful lost city, dreaming and hoping for a dresden-like operation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04GzCLMRycs

In this video of course you can view how the city looked like with the navigli artificial channel completely opened and some churches, like for example San Cristoforo al Naviglio
or the spire of the Duomo as seen from corso vittorio emanuele. Hope you like it!

(sorry for the tacky polkish music haha! )

Thank you so much!

San Giorgio al Palazzo church:

As I earlier said, Milan is a city of courtyards, "cortili", and this is not church architecture but I think is a really good example of courtyard that seems like a cloister, but it is from an ancient civil Palazzo, it is Palazzo Stampa-Soncino, XVI century:

...and two very typical and traditional Navigli view

Sorry if we had gone off topic, next time I will post only churches I promise!
