Ok a pause now for what it concerns sacred architecture, I would like to show here the project of reopening the Navigli channel, that once made of milan a second venice, a city of water. Now only a small part are still opened, the so called navigli district, and it is the most sparkling part of the city according to me.
Here is a graphical rendering of what woulb be like to see the Navigli channels reopened in the historical city centre. They were (and they still are for the uncovered part of the 250 km long Navigli channels) the oldest artificial transport channels in the world, and they should be reopened not only for beauty's sake, but for cultural heritage, since they are 6 centuries old!

Now let the images talk:

Well, if you've seen my threads here, you know that I am one of those atheists who love visiting churches and taking pictures of them. (We are more than you think! ), so this thread is really special for me!!

ahah! Lol! Thank you so much! I'm a believer but a very critical and skeptic one if you want my point of view! Anyway this thread is open for everyone and I'm honoured by every comment, really! I wanted to show the artistical/cultural side of a city that could improve so much touristically with very few efforts, but that just does not care about tourism that much...and that's a pity for me, because real artistical jewels gets ignored or passed by while people spend their time in the city going from an armani shop to a versace one...and churches of my city are a very good example of how rich the artistical/touristical offer of this city could be... no matter what you believe or where you are from, we're just brothers, that's the very only thing, the only belief that matters!
Thank you for your visit and your comment!
