Antimo Labagnara's artistical pictures of Milan:

San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore:

Reproduction of the Ancient Roman Imperial Capital of Mediolanum, the former Milan:

some part of the roman Walls and some roman towers are still intact in the city:

Inside the archeological museum there is a part of the roman walls and much more interesting archeological piece:

Imperial Palace, here's where Empereor Constantine proclaimed the Edict of Milan legalizing christian religion in the whole Roman Empire, that is to say in the whole Europe:

Santa Maria alla Porta, from baroque architect Francesco Maria Richini:

We're now entering the most preserved district of Milan, the pictoresque Cinque Vie district...an enchanting area totally ignored by tourism, I can't understand why...

San Matteo alla Barchetta ancient baroque church:

Santa Maria Podone church as seen from gothic Palazzo Borromeo:

The interiors of this beautiful palace are filled with precious frescoes...

San Sebastiano church and civic temple, built in XVI century to end with the plague:

The masterpiece: Santa Maria presso San Satiro, by the genius of the master artist of the Renaissance Bramante:

Antimo Labagnara's artistical pictures of Milan part II:

San Nazaro Maggiore's basilica:

this basilica is very important for the history of art since it has been the very first western church being built in latin cross instead of the greek cross...this one dates back to the IV century, right after the Edict of Constantine liberalizing christianism.

The apsis of San Nazaro Maggiore:

Filarete's renaissance palace of the Ca' Granda:

Gargoyles at the Duomo's cathedral:

San Fedele's church:

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele:

two more pictures from the wikipedia:

Pompeo Leoni's master late renaissance-mannerist sculptor palace, known as the Casa degli Omenoni:

Manzoni's house:

Brera's National art gallery, with the famous iconic Napoleon's statue by Antonio Canova, the best neoclassical sculptor:

New icons: Pelli tower near San Marco Basilica:

San Marco basilica's facade:

San Simpliciano paleochristian basilica:

The Sforza Castle's fountain:

One of the very stark tower of the Sforza Castle. This castle has never been conquered. The city has simply been sold to enemy forces, but the castle itself never was conquered:

Sant'Ambrogio ancient paleochristian basilica:

Unfinished renaissance cloister by Bramante genius:

San Lorenzo very very ancient basilica, from the III century, one of world's most ancient churches ever, built above a roman structure, probably a pagan temple. It is known as the "Hagia Sofia of Milan", since they both dates back to the Constantine's Era:

Ancient Roman columns in front of San Lorenzo basilica:

Gorgeous interiors of the San Lorenzo Basilica:

Hope you enjoyed!
