The design process is quite smart. This can turn to be a very good building.

The design don't rely on a central core. The tower will have a tripod shape.

Is this for real you wonder?

How do they come up with designs fro Shenzhen .. By looking at pics from Blade Runner movie .. and see which resembles something in the movie ?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

?

It's like they took BIG's 2WTC and made it even bigger, bolder (not sure if this word exists tho) .... and uglier.

Once again, Shenzhen would fail to top 600m for a narrow margin. I know Shenzhen always delivers, but it tends to disappoint concerning heights lately. Hopefully Shenwan will oblige.

This... doesn't look right. The third box at the top is an overkill. I'd rather have some 400m-ish tower with two stacked boxes than this. It's not a bad design, actually a great concept, but... meh. Hopefully not final...

The first proposal was much better. This design is so chunky and massive as a ugly wall
O.k the concept is interesting, but the realization in this proposal screems: change the design

I love the current design, but I am skeptical about the claim that "it doesn't rely on a central core" I'd like to see the structure and fire protection scheme.
If it doesn't have a central core, it should have huge mega collumns on the facade, or a lot of normal sized columns / concrete walls in the floorplans.

Lovely design and fantastic concept.

It's a shame that the same architecture practise is about to dump this on London , 22 Bishopsgate.

New design is fantastic! Brutal but elegant, understandable yet interesting...

This design sucks. Third box on top does not look right.

Opinion formed after seeing one image from one angle?

It's not a third box, it's the top of the bigger part of the whole building. It is the middel portion which has been placed askew in relation to the main structure

Looks like it has a hexagonal core.

Yes indeed, the first articles were quite missleading. The tower still has a core, but it will only have express lifts to the skyplazas and probably lifts for heavy goods.

The tower itself are like 3 skyscrapers stacked on top of each other. You go to the skyplaza first via expresslift in the core. Then you go to the elevators for individual floors located at the edges of the tower.

Love this new design and really not understanding the 2WTC comparisons. To me this design is very elegant in contrast to BIG's recent work- I do love the reminder of how subjective all this is though.

If built it'll be another great reason to visit Shenzhen for sure

This floor plan is frightening. Imagine how far the people have to run to get to the staircases in case of emergency!
