Looks like they just put up a construction fence around the perimeter of the afore mentioned site. Normally they put up a fence, put up the worker's housing, then begin to dig and construct.

If they are preparing to start, we'll probably see renders soon.

compared to kingkey that design easily looks like 800m, so i am okay with a crown instead of roof all up with that height.

are they really preparing to start?

I don't know about 800m, but to my eye it definitely looks to be 750m or so. Much taller than it's listed in the thread title, now.

If they are fencing the site we will know the height, soon!

it would be crazy if this really is far above 700m. then we have Ping'an to see rising until this starts, we can watch this one rising and before it finishs the 800m building in Qianhai may start

Can't wait for the official Height

How can a 442m tall Tower look small?
-> Build a 700m+ Tower next to it !

Always funny to see the skyline of which city they choose for the background picture of the render.
This time it's an image of Shinjuku station prior to 2000 that they picked... but anyway nobody looks at it.

lucky number.

Despite the crappy render, it still looks like a cool design. The cut out sections set it apart from Swiss Re in London (and the height off course).

Wow this building will dwarf the current tallest buildnings in Shenzhen (Shun Hing Square and Kingkey 100) ! Nice design!
