VOTE FOR DAR-ES-SALAAM IN NEW WONDER CITIES

Hey all,

Am sure all of you are aware that Kilimanjaro lost the spot in New 7 Natural wonders last year after reaching the top 14, despite being a deserving candidate it lost because of less votes as we were ignorant and less enthusiastic untill the final moments.

The New7Wonders are now organizing the search for 7 new wonder cities where Dar-es-Salaam is also amongst the 300 finalists and inorder for it to reach the top 28 in December this year, we have to vote for it as much as we can. For voting we have to go to http://www.n7w.com/cities/en, from the list of areas select Africa where you will get to see all the nominated African cities. You will be able to see the rank of the cities as per the current voting trends.. while writing this, Dar-es-Salaam was ranked 3rd after Cairo and Cape Town from the list of 59 cities!! This is a huge achievement as our wonderful city is getting votes but we Tanzanians need to show support for our city by voting and spreading awareness so that it reaches the top position in Africa and maintain that position till December this year.

It is however very saddening to note that while the New7Wonders were randomly listing down the 300 nominated cities in Facebook and while the Dar-es-Salaam's name came in there were lots of haters who said it didn't deserve to be there but what was more shocking is that such negativity came from some Tanzanians.

This is not a time for us to hate our city because of bad politics / mgao wa umeme and traffic as such problems persist in most of the African cities !

Imagine the privilege and opportunity the title a Wonder City would bring to us... PLEASE VOTE AND ASK OTHERS TO VOTE FOR DAR, USE ALL THE EMAIL ID'S YOU HAVE

Agree, They should have kept another picture.. that one is very outdated but i guess it was taken from Dar's wikipedia page which also needs an update

Btw, you can change that picture and edit some details in the wiki page, i have the login details for wiki. By reading the profile of Dar, it seems some one is busy destroying us even in those strategic places....

yeah, i saw someone busy writing about slums, if you can remember those arguments here, you can all find them there, , watu wengine hawana madogo hata kidogo.

Let Haters hate they don't have any other business apart from hating, we will support our city by writing down all the accurate details.. BTW i think we should also include the DART project details in Dar's wikipedia page too, it will show how serious the city is in becoming a world class place to live in

Poa, kawaida huwa wanataka picha iwe ni yako (umepiga wewe) wanaogpa copyright infringements... Itabidi tujadiliane juu ya body text gani inafaa kama vile mkuu bnr alivyonena inabidi tuweke vitu kama DART, the Kigamboni bridge etc, etc...
