According to a plugged-in source, Build Group has been selected as the general contractor for the construction of the 39-story tower to rise at 45 Lansing.

The butterfly garden has been plowed over; a sign for long-term, reserved construction parking has been hung on the fence; and the heavy equipment is on the way.

45 Lansing Breaks Ground in Rincon Hill

Quote:
The butterflies have been evicted, and ground has been broken on the 39-story Crescent Heights condo tower located at 45 Lansing Street. Originally set to begin construction in 2009, the site was a victim of the market crunch of the late 2000s. After changing hands from Turnberry to the current developer in 2011, a layout change was approved by The Planning Department to increase the number of units and eliminate all of the previously planned 3-bedroom condos. The building will now feature a mix of up to 320 studio-, one- and two-bedroom units over 265 mechanically stored parking spaces. The building is being pitched as a luxury high-rise similar to The Millennium Tower and One Rincon Hill, which means it will feature high-end finishes (and prices) and amenities galore.

That's 2 under construction on Rincon Hill with 3 (325, 340 and 399 Fremont) to go. And nearby, of course, there's 201 Folsom with 2 towers.
