Cah SMG,

Ibis hotel, Gumaya hotel, DP mall are under construction. The others are still proposed. I don't have any pic of rendering

Thanks Bozhart, hey did you guys read today in suaramerdeka? the RTBL for Semarang? it seems they will allowed developer to build a building as high of 16 floor because the airport safety zones is now changing. They will put the ILS on marina, while the terminal moved to the north so does the entry via anjasmoro street.

http://www.suaramerdeka.com/harian/0610/20/kot03.htm

So i assume, Gumaya will still have their 16 floor hotel project as it is?

cheers

David-80, thanks for the info. I don't know how many Gumaya will have floor. I seldom read Suara Merdeka because I don't live in Semarang, but if you have good info about the development of Semarang, please let me know!

All planes will land or take off via the west of runway, so it should be there is no any restiction on height of building that sits on the east of runway (the central city). But the RBTL restricts the max height is 60 m?

Yup, its Max 60m....about Gumaya palace, the original masterplan is 16 floor with 58 m tall, but the local government objected with the project because it could affect airplane, so now this new RTBL and safety zones regulation, they can build it as high of 60m but with flash light tower on it.

You're not mudik to Semarang this lebaran? I am going to Yogya + Solo next week, its long holiday rite...seven days!

cheers

David-80,

I have just found that the height of View Tower of Mesjid Agung is 99 meters. Does it break the rule of KKOP that resists the height of buildings in Semarang max 60 meters?

KKOP = kawasan keselamatan operasional penerbangan

Bozhart, either its exceptional or the menara pandang tower is out of safety zones area. AFAIK, The tower without antena on it is 99 metres with antena 105 metres.

In jawapos i read about this mesjid agung, they said this mosque is the biggest in south east asia....it cost more than 1 trillion rupiah to build....

cheers

David-80, I think it's not out of safety zones area. When I went to Semarang by plane from Jakarta, I recorded the track of plane by GPS. This below pic plots the track in yellow line when the plane was approaching and turning to the airport. Duriing the turning, the GPS indicated the altitude of plane was about 460 meters (msl)
