And to think this is Watkin Jones, the same people behind the Fire station proposal!

We could have possibly had that up and running too had it not run into so many little minor alterations

They were putting new windows in on the small triangular building just next to The Heights, the same developer of the Moland St project owns that and the land with the advertising hoardings on I think, so maybe they are turning it into an office for people interested in the new student building?

I saw them taking out the old ones but didn't know they were putting in new ones?

An app has been put in for demolition of them, and the planning app for this states the current advertising site and the triangular offices form part of a potential second phase, I think you may be right with them being a sales office for the student block until the second phase comes along

Filled up at the petrol station by this today, they've dug out the back of the site loads, now starting at the front and got a large piling rig on site. They've closed off the left side of moland st to allow them to dig down. The cherry pickers were apparently on site to remove overhead cables.

Steelwork shouldnt be too far off though

great seeing cranes popping up over the city.

Looking forward to this one, simple and not high but it looks great in my opinion and great location. Hopefully it can get the Mitchell's and butlers pub on the corner further down the road re opened with all the students

Yeh I was going to try and grab a snap the other day but didn't get the time. The steelwork was up to the 3rd/ 4th floor when I saw today. Looks like they might be building across the site for a little bit before building up more again.
