NANGKA BHARU CITY, State Capital of Bentan, Nanassia
Hello guys..this is my first thread in the Creative Corner
![]() With simple lines, basic polygons, simple background and shadows, I think its enough as the rendering for the model. This thread presenting my Asian city made with Sketchup. I will update future upgrade, new buildings and projects in this thread. Basically, I dont use any texture and colour at all because it would make my computer run super slow.. ![]() Btw here is my city called Nangka Bharu.. enjoy the city images.., and its facts cheers ![]() ________ NANGKA BHARU image hosted on flickr ![]() Nangka Bharu (abbreviated as NB) is a city in Nanassia, is the state capital of Bentan. The name means 'new jackfruit', named after the small town of Pekan Nangka situated futher north-west from Nangka Bharu. History Nangka Bharu was established by Sultan Yismayel in 1943 as Bentan's Capital. Before that, Bentan capital was at Pekan Nangka. Climate Nangka Bharu features a tropical rainforest climate. Architecture The architecture of Nangka Bharu is a blend of old colonial influences, Asian tradisions, Malay Islamic inspirations, modern, and postmodern architecture mix. image hosted on flickr ![]() City Structure Like other cities in Asia, buildings and roads are not organised at the city centre area. Grid street plan only applied at the new and planned area such as Bukit Bulan. image hosted on flickr ![]() Buildings and roads are scattered at the City Center (left part in the image) while city grid plan applied in Bukit Bulan (right part in the image) City Plan and Labelling With 'sattelite imagery' style (Top View in Field of View = 1.00 deg, Orbited at few degrees to south) City Regions image hosted on flickr ![]() Main Roads image hosted on flickr

Welcome to the creative corner mate! and congrats on your first thread!
And very nice work. My only question is, if you are also inable to use road/water and grass textures? - It would make a huge difference!

first of all, welcome to our little community
![]() i really like this project, it's something different from all the others around here. personally i wouldn't recommend to add any type of texture to keep the simple sketchy-style. also i believe you can expand the city to a pretty huge scale if you keep the current style. good luck with it |

I just checked ur model and the road in ur city are quite nice, adding street lamps and trees would make ur street cooler. But I can't put texture to the road in my city because most of the roads are curvy.. I ill try to add grey colour onto it and add texture to some straight simple roads

I think that i'll keep this simple style.. this city is still developing, especially at the residential area and undeveloped region. maybe texturing buildings is my future project

Good stuff, I'm a sucker for basic white cityscapes - its a good way of creating a large city quickly without spending a lifetime texturing. I would definitely recommend making the roads grey though and maybe green for parkland as 'earthbuilder' commented.

Kacang Heights The mini Beverly Hills of Nangka Bharu
Located in Kampung Dandan, Kacang Heights revolves around a heathy lifestyle where one may live within a well-landscaped environment surrounded by the luxury of space and greenery. image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() Location Map - image hosted on flickr ![]() Some renderings ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr ![]() image hosted on flickr

Hello guys.. I have just reformatted my pc but that pc guy forgot to backup my files..
My Nangka Bharu is now gone. I lost everything in my pc.. so.. i think that we can assume that Nangka Bharu city was boomed by an atomic bomb. lol ![]() Btw Im now starting a new city called Seinci, a western city, structured with City Grid Plan, wider, more organised, and with colours this time I will open the thread of this new city later. cheers ![]() Some pic: Another pic (with edges) https://twitter.com/#!/UjaiDidida/st.../photo/1/large
