Can't believe you lot are arguing with John MK.
![]() Yes we all know the ship was built in Belfast for a Liverpool company, and as such has strong ties to both cities, but the fact is it sank and it isn't coming back. Get used to it, and be happy with what we've got.

Who's John MK?
I assume it's George and he's simply here to troll.

Why do you even care about a Titanic exhibition in Belfast? and what do you mean "only built in Belfast?"
Also why don't you have a go at the other places that have Titanic exhibitions?, Cobh in the Republic of Ireland being one. *Why am I even responding to this?*

Oh dear...you see you really should not try to make an argument with something like that as your starting position. Then people just ignore you and/or can't take you seriously.

![]() That made me laugh. You must be joking. Our work force is extremely smart and talented. Our education system is a lot better then your one. Please stop using stereotypes because it makes you sound stupid and believe me there is a good few stereotypes about you lot across the Irish sea.

'Bit rich coming from someone that has seen their country given 10's of billions from the UK and Europe once the economy imploded.'
Because they did that for any other reason than to save their over-exposed banks.... right. ![]() Back on topic.... This 2012 'festival' is just a bunch of generic 'could be going on anywhere' events based loosely around the Titanic centenary, and just stinks of the whole 'insignificant backwater striving for attention, and/or money. One wonders if whatever provincial town that happened to host the building of the Costa Concordia is planning such a tacky over-hyped, drawn out, externally funded 'celebration'?? ![]() Probably not. |

I think you're being too tough. Belfast is a thriving tourist city these days. When you consider the size of our city and recent past it seems oven more impressive what we have achieved. There are bigger cities in the UK alone with a far smaller tourist industry/things to do.
