Mercury City Tower, The design change alot from the actual renderings so it won't really be that accurate, it that the real diagram? It looks alittle chubby, lol and tall. is it to scale? Either way it'll look better than mines, lol.

I also want to make this building, but I haven't done yet, because of the uncertain top....
Silhouette looks good, very well done job, but it's wrong

That's why I don't make it.

No, that isnt my diagram, i got the silhouette from the diagram of the tower that i thought was ok, but Alex is right, the top of the building is still uncertain.

I ´ll finish my diagram and I´ll post it, even though, I´ll wait to do the model until I see the top is correct.

Here is the diagram of where I got the silhouette.

And an my diagram´s update

Ohh nice creative designs!

And sorry to tell you Val but that isn't a real rendering of the top portion of Mercury. Someone just drew that because that's what they want it to look like, the real tower will not have an antenna nor look like that at all,

Lovely use of colors on the diagram, the bllue podium compliments the tower itself very well,

Val5413, look the last image below before deciding since it corresponds to what is REALLY buit:
on August 6, 2012 the concrete pilars of level 75 are achieved and you've got above them HALF the height of the iron bars of technical level "76" :

Новое «солнце» столицы – завершение остекления золотой башни «Меркурий Сити»
Эксклюзивное остекление башни «Меркурий Сити» при существующем темпе — на данный момент осуществляется на уровне 43 этажа — будет законченно в августе 2012 года.
Завершение остекления будет знаменовать собой финализацию проекта — ГК намечена на конец 2012 года. Благодаря индивидуальному витражному остеклению, небоскреб станет одной из самых привлекательных архитектурных построек в Москве.

Below, the original section of the tower on January 2, 2007 with a concrete top around 327 m? and a spire at 380 m, 70 levels + 1 technical level:

Below: then the modified tower's top, with top of level 70 at 322 m and top of the tower at 339 m (339.87 m at scale) and without spire, 70 levels + X or 1 very... large technical level. Notice too the lower glass structure of only 1 level on the (here) antepenultimate slant and the projection to the top right :

Now, photo below, with top of level "76" still at 339 or 340 m and without spire, 75 levels + 1 technical level. This is what is REALLY buit now! :
(you can notice that, if you enlarge this diagram of 165% and superposes it to the other one on a tracing paper or reduces the page to 50% to see both diagrams and make an easier comparison).

The glass structure is only 1 level high too here. The blind level 70A is at the same place.
The facade on the left of the tower's top is at the same place after the slant and its roof is just risen of 3 new levels in order to suppress its zigzag form.
But the projection of the facade on the right of the tower's top is suppressed and you've got even an additional setback. So despite the modification of the top's form, the height of the tower on both diagrams is corresponding... exactly = 340 m IMO!
Have you noticed too that above this additional setback the ceiling of level 75 is reinforced and projects itself into the void. It could be to hold a spire passing through it... and based on the as well reinforced floor of level 70A. Consequently, the spire is not so certain to have been suppressed IMO!
The drawing of the equivalent of 2 levels is suppressed on the former design, since above level 70A they are 4.4 m high instead of 3.7 m.

SO IT'S TIME NOW TO CHANGE THE HEIGHT OF THE TOWER ON THE THREAD FROM 332 M TO 339-340 M IMO!

The reinforced projecting structure at level 70A and 70B (instead of 69 and 70A on the diagram section) is visible on this photo (down right). On June 27, 2012, The top of iron bars is nearly at the top of level #75 (which is just under the last concrete blind level): around 327 m:

So, what is it made for, if not for a spire base?

Recall :
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=2428
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showpo...postcount=2502
So, on 24-27 March 2012, the concrete structure reached the top of the pilars and the ceiling of level 71. So IMO 305.62+4.4-0.60 (floor thickness) = 309.42 and 18 cm... below the Shard's top out at 309.60 m on 25-30 March 2012.
But on 22 March 2012, the iron structure had already reached about the ceiling of level 72 so above 313 m (313.22 m?).
.

ADDITION BELOW! :

What a strange photo Brad from this angle !
If you prolonge the slant it reaches virtually the very top of the crane!
That's impossible, the tower would be about 405 m!!!
It fact, the angle breaks on the right iron's pilar and reaches about the top of the crane's cabin IMO.

Your photo allows at last more precise calculations.
I've printed it and I proportionally found 307.35 m for the ceiling of level 71 (so this was the height of the concrete pilars on March 24, 2012) and 2 meters lower... than my former calculations, based on the diagram of 20 October 2011!
But the iron structure (equivalent to the height of level 66 so 3.4 m) was still above the Shard (309.60 m) at the level of about 310.80 m, exactly calculted by mr. MyXiN! (307.35 + 3.4 = 310.75 m). CONGRATULATIONS MiXyN!
The tower is about 330 m now instead of my calculated 335 m and the final height is uncertain between 336 m and still IMO 340 m.

This needs confirmation with the exact floors's heights on the real section from the modified building permit.

Wrong place... it is only a diagram of the render of the tower, it's not an official diagram or anything you didn't have to go all crazy just for a diagram... I mean who cares, many towers have gone through unnoticed height changes but nobody cares because someone always says the new height so why does it need to be different for this tower?
