on there website, there is a page listing all projects, they are 60! soe of them are big enough for a dedicated thread

Expansion of the Courtyard of Imam al-Husayn's Sacred Sanctuary: A Construction Project

The courtyard of Imam al-Husayn's sacred sanctuary has been in need of physical expansion. Due to increasing number of the pilgrims, the administration of Imam al-Husayn's Sacred Sanctuary has decided to expand the courtyard of this holy shrine to make sufficient space for the huge mass of prayers and pilgrims.

The magazine Hussein Revivalism seized the opportunity to conduct an interview with Mr. Muhammad Khadem, the head engineer for some explanations. He said that the area of the project covers 24,000 meters square in four floors; it will be built beside the ancient wall, with its decoration in accordance with the Islamic architecture. He added that the project consists of a large hall as place for congregational prayers, to be covered by marble, with Islamic decorations and electric stairs.

The ground floor will have service places, shoe-keep rooms, and gates for security checking of people. The ground floor will take 6000 meters square. The second floor will have places for administration offices, radio stations, and special halls for the pilgrims. The third floor will consist of large halls that will make room for the pilgrims who visit Imam al-Husayn's Sacred Sanctuary. The overall cost of the project is estimated to be 49,000,000,000 Iraqi dinars.

The Stages of the Projects

The engineering company in charge of the project is optimistic to complete the structure of the first stage of the project and to build the walls of the structure. This area is supposed to cover the space between al-Zaynabiyyah gate to the gate in front of Imam al-Husayn's Head. The project is being carried out entirely by Iraqi staff; it is estimated to take three years
