![]() My ride to Honkers Going into my final day I was quite disappointed I didn't get the chance to see Mt Fuji in all her glory but soon after takeoff the Captain announced that Mt Fuji would be visible from the right side of the plane, which I was luckily seated in.......... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well that's it, no more pics...........hope you enjoyed them as well as the occasional video, I enjoyed bringing them to you.
Next time I plan on having a nicer camera, any suggestions on a good DSLR would be welcome

Oh, I nearly forgot............I made a couple of video compilations shortly after getting back, inspired by the many Japan videos I watched on youtube. I'm a big trance music fan so both video's have backing trance music tracks, mixed by myself (ex DJ).
The Japan at Night vid is about 11 mins long while the other is a whopping 1hr20mins (you have been warned )Hope you enjoy them........ |

I just would like to thank you for uploading us such beautiful photos and videos over the past weeks. Your trip was so interesting that I was eager to see every single update.
And like Japanese people say: Otsukaresama deshita . Arigato gozaimasu!Quote:
By the way, I have a question for you, what software you did use for making that compilation video? Thanks .

![]() I don't know about the longer video being art but I'm glad you appreciated it nonetheless. I pretty much just whacked a whole bunch of my clips together without much thought....well maybe a little ![]() The shorter version though had a bit more thought especially trying to match the music to the transitions. I used Corel Video Studio X3. |

Your welcome
.Unfortunately I couldn't access to your shorter video because it's blocked in some areas and the country where I live is one of these areas. Last edited by Kimiwind1184; May 12th, 2012 at 07:13 AM. |

Oh yeah, I tried that too, it doesn't work. It Seems like there is strict EMI copyright laws in the states.
Anyways, thanks for the tips. Otherwise I really admired your epic 1hr20min video. Great job. |

I can't stop coming back to this thread
![]() Shibuya Crossing really blew my mind, "This place is an assault to all your senses" indeed LOL! The sound, the lightings, everything just made my head spin! I've just GOT to go to Japan and blow all my money on shopping ![]() Sorry for my over-exaggeration (spelling?) but I really want to visit Japan, I hope I can save some money for a trip this summer!

![]() I've almost made my mind up to go back mid August to mid Sept this year but this time I will visit some cities that I missed on my last trip like Nagano, Kamakura, Fukuoka, Nara etc and also to spend more time in Kyoto and Osaka. I'll again base myself in Tokyo but this time I'll probably get a two week JR pass rather than just one week. Unfortunately a couple of friends who had promised to make the trip have pulled out so I'll again be a single traveler which is good in some respects (freedom to go and do what you want) but not in others. I was looking forward to showing them Japan ![]() As for money, I just chuck everything on my credit card and worry about paying it off when I get back

^ Really nice! Then we expect even much more solid thread that this one
.I think you need to visit Tohoku region. There is a lot of stuff to explore out there. And, if you are loaded with enough cash, just don't miss a flight to Hokkaido .

yes of course, I mentioned in another post that I plan to upgrade my camera to a DSLR so hopefully I'll have some nicer looking pics ![]() Sapporo looks nice, JR rail pass can get you there without the need to book a flight though it's a 10hr ride vs a 90min flight. I really need to make up my mind whether I'm going or not!!!

Yes, trains can be always an option when you're traveling in Japan. They cover every heck of the country.
I also recommend you to purchase Seishun 18 Kippu, it can be a cheap option to travel by train (Takes a longer time to arrive to your destination though). http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2362.html |
