This actually looks like line 4 on the east side of Kiev.

This is the route number 4.
'line' and 'route' are different concepts.

Actually, it's rather not a line 2, it's Rapid tram #2, called so to differentiate it from Rapid Tram on right bank (of Dnipro), build in late 70th.
Other lines doesn't have unique names... Well, at least no wide-used one.

'Rapid tram' is the local name in countries of Eastern Europe. 'Light Rail' is more appropriate term than 'Rapid tram'.

Well, it's looks like another re-labeling venture...
The only one modern tram that are trully produced in Ukraine is Elektron.

Ukrainian market is huge because all trams from Soviet era and gov wants to update all of them. Of course, Alstom wants to make lots of money, that is why they are ready to localize tram technology in Ukraine step by step.
And I think it is nice: in Lviv we will have Elektron, in Dnipropetrovsk, say, Alstom-LAZ - every city will have truly unique look.

The problem is - there are no cities, except Kyiv, that have enough funds to buy enough new trams, and Kyiv are sticking to those horrible self-made Kashtan-2 trams

Oh, really, so where Dnipropetrovsk takes money to build new metro stations and build new roads?
And why Yevpatoria gov wants to buy Elektron trams? Probably, you need to learn more about gov funding.

How many stations was built during 1995-2013? Well, you may say zero, but i would insist that it's like 25% of 2 new stations... Building 100 m of tunnel per year - it's really sad
Roads are built, I suppose, with the support of national goverment budget, because they are interconnectors between national highways, to prevent truck transit through city streets.
Many city governments wants to buy trams, but not many have funds for it

Wow, the station have this 'something'.
Today they might look a bit 'old' but still make a very positiv impression.
i'd love to see some more!
