1.6M$ plus some fees, more precisely. And the real, useful area of a 100 sqm flat is just 70-75sqm only. More than 20k$ for one real sqm.

Why do they often have a column of light shining up from the tower in these renders, it's like a childish attempt to make it look taller.

DAMN I know shenzhen is a big city but still 20k$ for one real sqm is just insane . Seriously ridiculous

I get this other weird feeling maybe due to unending construction and other reasons Chinese buildings especially residential complexes seem to fade away quickly. So what happens post couple of decades If the building is in a bad state ?.

I am sure the people who paid such ridiculous amounts to buy themselves a house now realise their property is worthless or do get to own the land on which the building the built and everybody sells it to a new developer or something like that.

This may be off topic but what kind of job or business must one have to afford to live here and pay 1.4 million USD for an apartment in Shenzhen???

Shenzhen per capita GDP was ¥149,500($24,336) as of 2014, on par with some of the developed countries of the OECD."
But still the housing price in Shenzhen and other first tier Chinese cities is too damn high!

I have seen that they were installing some fixtures on the nail building in the middle to probably revamp its cladding. Should be interesting to see how it will turn out.

It really seems like they kept the density they had in the former urban village of GangXia into this redevelopment. Buildings seems a bit too close one from each other.

It should be. I find a lot Chinese developments too overplanned with random useless green spaces plastered everywhere.

Actually they should build even taller. 200m+ residentials should be everywhere.

useless green spaces ?

actually average people (like the majority of potential buyers for apartments) enjoy useless green spaces...

don't want a concrete jungle, where your window is just stay in front of the window from the building next to it.

insane density is only preferred by a minority of skyscraper enthusiasts, most people would like even more green and lot less density.

there is a reason why apartments facing a park are the most expensive, while the ones facing a building are cheaper.

developers would want that too, but they choose dense projects because financial reasons, not because "It look so cool"

Agree
I like living in Shenzhen too because there are many green areas, lot of trees, plants, flowers. They put as many as they can making the city more enjoyable than lot of other cities in China.
